  1. like has been said if competing for hares the saluki blood comes into its own but other stuff is a definate for ANY collie x im a huge fan of collie crosses
  2. some dogs are just born fox dogs they take to it easily some need a bit help so if YOU think YOUR dog needs abit help double it up till you can see that its ready simple as that you have to know your dog mate is it a soft fecker or has it got bottle? softiesmake good bunny dogs and tough dogs make good fox/deer dogs

  10. i was asked by a mate if i could get rid of a pair of magpies that were starting to build a nest in his garden ,well he didnt have to ask me twice lads and i set myself up behind his wheelie bins [make a cracking hide lol] then waited for them to show and it wasnt long before they were both adding twigs to the already started nest one presented me with a lovely shot from only 25 yds and i rested the rapid on the corner of the bin and fired !one stone dead magpie hit his lawn and i thought the other was about to fly off but it did the very opposite and flew down to its mate [probably cryin

  12. going back to origional subject lads if im tottaly honest them little rats look a bit like field mice to me -but i may be wrong and its fine by me to shoot the little buggers if they become a pest look forward to viewing the "ratcam

  14. just had the very same problem with a mates rifle [webley falcon[ im ok at sighting in rifles but this one had me stumped scopes were fairly new [hawke] and when he finally took to shop it was the scopes mate so get them checked

  17. dont know much about the axsor mate but i do own a early mk1 logun and its fantastic i know once logun where taken over [i was told] that the quality wasnt the same -billy

  21. hi lads my mate whose a keen wood pigeon man calledlast night to see if i fancied a bit roost shooting so not being a man to turn down an offer the gear was in his car as quick as a flash we arrived at the wood and not a single bird to be seen ,ive seen hundreds sitting in these trees during the day so i forgave him for not doing a bit of home work 1st .any way i suggest a short trip to one of my patches and this is a mixed wood with a bit of shelter and it will always hold woodies magpies crows etc on arrival i spot a few 40 yds in and take a long shot and hit a branch and there off
  22. couldnt bring myself to shoot a parrot there not ugly like magpies and crows! oops so why am i shooting woodies because there quite nice too ? oh yes they taste nice lol
  23. ive been shooting 30 0dd years now and every now and then i do take a "crazy" shot 100 yds plus but only in a safe zone and it pleases me to say ive pulled a fair few brilliant shots off but if as you say your a newbie play it safe mate 30 yds is good enougfh -billy
