The top 3 pics are of an AA S410K. The last pic is a Falcon FN12.
  2. This is why pigeonhill "asked for hands on experience rather than second and third hand storys" I've never had one or seen one work so don't feel qualified to have an opinion Poacher9991 you say you don't know anyone that owns one I take it you mean personally? As there are a few lads on here that have hancock dogs World Hunters for one and if you take time to read some of his threads about his dog Storm you'll find the lad thinks the world of him But then again you could be right he's probably rubbish. Pigeonhill it would be worth giving World Hunters a PM to ask him ab
  3. Here's a link fishfish that has a pic of the big salmon. http://www.speycaster.net/fishing_news.htm
  4. Greyhounds are as a rule littlefish laid back, but some can be fiery depending on the circumstances and it can be a trivial thing that kicks them off. Most greyhounds in racing kennels are doubled up and usually they have box muzzles on,better to be safe than sorry.
  5. This is my favourite MOLLY You must have some patience, how long did it take to dress the dogs up then get them to stay still long enough to get the pics.
  6. Dogs are looking well woody What a horrible fence that is behind the black bitch 3 rows of barbed wire
  7. I prefer to buy in or breed a pup to bring on.I always find I get a better bond with a dog that I've reared and trained from an early stage. That said I have bought in twice, both times because of long term injuries.I must add the two of them were only bought after having a trial with.
  8. Whimps I've seen a different side of them to you FastDogz, many times I've witnessed greyhounds breaking a leg in a race and on a lot of occasions they will complete the race. Same with injuries,if something live or artificial gets up infront of them it doesn't matter to them if they are injured or not they will still take off after it. Have you ever been unfortunate enough to see two greyhounds fight or saw them after a fight, wimps they are not.I have unluckily been in that situation After I'd cleaned them up both dogs stood quietly as I stitched their cuts, not a hint of a TRAUMA.
  9. No I wouldn't bother. ddsr can I ask you a question, what's the attraction with a track greyhound? Is it because it's free? You would be far better buying a lurcher pup and taking the time to train and bond with it.Then in about a years time the pup will be ready to start. I've had greyhounds for more than 20 years and never once in all that time have I considered them suitable for working.I've watched a few over the years that some mates have tried I've seen them bounce off hedges, fences even stone walls [there must be something wrong with their braking system]. A lot of
  10. The ground is fine up here,it's dark as well.Just a pity there's not a breath of wind. I took Amy out for 1/2 an hour but the rabbits were really flighty As soon as the lamp was switched on they were on the move. Most of them were sitting close to their buries. Amy managed to catch one rabbit so I got a bit of dog food and education and excersise for the young bitch at the same time. Plus it beats sitting in the house.

    new greyhound

lucky she cam back... any of the ones i kept usually run on and the rest of the night was spent lookin for them lol she has done that but found the afternoon at the the police station two towns away The sad thing about your last post GARTHYWILSON is that I actually believe you. What did you expect the bitch to do Might it not have been a better idea to have let her off in an enclosed area from which she couldn't have escaped. How many roads did she cross before she was found? How many fields full of stock did she go through? How much thought have you given to tha

  16. SJM the bitch had 4 dogs and 1 bitch, the bitch[black] went south and that was the last I heard of her.The 4 dogs all stayed fairly local. They varied from 24" to 26 1/2". The black and white dog went to a lad that came out lamping with me and the brother in law.Well you know how it is,he thought it was great and had his heart set on a pup needless to say it ended up as a family pet. Blue the biggest pup was my nephews pick,he would have made a decent dog I'm sure but never got the work load he required Blue at 10 months,he was the biggest in the litter at 26 1/2". Striker,i
