That's a strange one Richie, when you're out with it it's reading less than you have to dig, so the dig could be 3ft but it's reading 2.5ft. Yet when you do it above ground and the collars 3ft away it's reading 4ft, which is the opposite.

With most if not all of the greyhounds and lurchers i've had over the years they would have "made a pig of themselves" if grub was left infront of them all day, of that I have no doubt.

Eh!!!! i'd like it if he came back on here........Where have you been???????????? Regarding which dog the competitors ran, i'm willing to be corrected here but I believed the dog didn't have to be named when the money was paid but the dog you started the comp with was the dog you had to run throughout. Scouser ran a different dog to the one he intended to because of injury. So how's that not fair on the other competitors?????????

He's Beddie/Whippet X Grey on the Dam's side and a mix of Grey/Bull/Whippet and Collie [but mostly Grey] on the Sire's side.

My mate Tam was wanting a walk out tonight with his air rifle so I told him to come down and I'd take him out with Bob. It was just aswell Tam came as with the lack of any wind the rabbits were sitting close to home. Tam shot well and ended up with 6 rabbits and Bob who didn't have that many runs caught 3. I forgot to take my carrying bag with me so we were dropping rabbits of at differing points and managed to miss 1 on the return trip,hence the reason there's only 8 in the pic.

L+B V fieldmarshal might be the same as he's offshore working so L+B is happy to run it whenever he's home!! dont know when scouser and tomo are doing it, maybe shortly with the moon going down??? With the weather perfect for a spot of nocturnal wandering,strong winds and light rain, I was expecting to get a decent haul of rabbits tonight. I phoned one of my better permissions as far as rabbit numbers are concerned, and even though they've got a shoot on tomorrow I got told it would be all right to have a shine. 8pm saw Jimmy and I parking up in the lane and it was a short walk to the first field which was stubble.On with the lamp and the red filter picked out a ruby eye 30 yards away, Bob was slipped and what looked an easy catch turned into anything but. It's a regular occurence for posts to be deleted spookster. The last time I was on I replied to World Hunters thread about "the incident",when I came back on I was going to have a look to see how the thread was going. Guess what? It's been binned. For the life of me I can't see why?

Congratulations LDR and hard luck REW and well done to both for a good nights sport. Hopefully the comp can now move forwards and the lads and dogs that are left in can get their second round heats run in the next week or so as the moon is just coming right. Good luck to everyone that's still in.
