    Due to moving house and the ground being too hard it's been a while since I was last out with Bob. Tonight I picked up Tam then went down to Jimmy's for a shine. Tam had his air rifle and Jimmy took Bob. The conditions were far from ideal, flat calm and a bit light as well which meant the rabbits didn't hang about for long when the lamp was switched on. It must be said that Tam shot well and Bob ran well, especially when you consider that he pulled a nail out last week.     Don't see why a dog has to be off the slip for it to jump a fence or gate, why can't it jump when it's still on the slip. Must say it's a lot easier if a dog is working without a slip. I find it fairly easy to train them to do that when they're working solo, not so easy when they're out working with another dog.

    Charge it after every session. If you don't how can you know how much charge is left? You'll end up running out of battery one night.

    If the bitch is only a year old it won't be an ex racer as it's to young to have raced, she should only be starting to be schooled at that age. Having been a kennel hand for one of the best greyhound owners in Victoria you would already know that. If you do decide to take a chance with her you are going to have to spend a lot of time on stock breaking. A sheep killing greyhound in Australia, that's some combination. The decision has to be yours Victor, all I would say is don't get it for the wrong reasons, eg "i'll be saving it's life" and "I could have her for free". Take your time

    I've just read the other poll on taking a shot at birds in flight with an air rifle and have noticed there is not a no option. So here's another poll giving you the option of voting yes or no, couldn't be any easier. Be interesting to see the response.

    The title of this thread is,- Birds in flight, yes or no. In the poll there isn't a "no" option, only,- could you? have you? or would you? With that in mind there is no way we can evaluate the votes as everyone that votes is saying "yes" they can,have or would take a shot at a bird in flight. I would like to think if it was just a straight yes or no vote over 90% of the votes would be no. For me it's a no brainer, there is no way an air rifle should be used to shoot a bird in flight.

    Isnt the panacur 10% for pups.. Thats what i used Pancure 10% does adult dogs and pups, i've used it on my dogs in the past and found it very good.

    I have for sale the book,-The World of the American Pit Bull Terrier by Richard F Stratton. The book is in good condition and has laminated boards,it measures 11" x 9" and has 288 pages. I'm looking for £35 plus £5 postage or it can be picked up in Dumfries.

    I'm having a clearout as am moving house shortly and have plenty of countrymans weekly mags that are free to uplift in Dumfries. Below is what I've got.There will be some mags missing from some bundles.     why not go the vet There's something not quite right here, if you're not sure how much damage has been done or how best to treat it why haven't you let a vet have a look at it. At least get some pics up of the injury so that some of the experienced lads can give you their opinion.

    what you got left? I've got the lot of them here mate, like I said a price was agreed with a couple of lads but the money never arrived.

    Seems like the lads that wanted them have forgot to send payment. So the mags are still here if anybody else is interested.
