Bandikoot Tipoki seems to be his highest rated son, he's held 2 track records, qualified for the semis of the English derby tonight. He's also won The Caffreys Futurity Puppy Cup 2009, the ladbrokes puppy derby 2009 and the Steel city Cup Cat 1 2009. How he'll do at stud is anyones guess.

The last bitch I had caught first time out at 9 months so I was chuffed. I was offered good money for her but turned it down. As luck would have it she turned out next to useless, so I don't think it matters how soon they take to lamping it's how they turn out once they've learned.

If you have a look mate don't post it on here or your likely to get yer baws chewed.

I wouldn't of expected anything else mate. The rabbit skin is new to him and he's excited by it, that's the reason he's acting the way he is. I would expect him to settle down the more he gets used to it.

Whin - you know f*ck all about Whippets mate! I notice you didn't comment once on the thread that ran about whippets taking big game etc! Jai. Steady Jai, it was only last week you wrote in the ferret section,-"Also it IS an open forum and i was expressing an opinion". So how's it alright for you to express an opinion yet it's not alright for Whin.

Exactly. A mate phoned me one day last winter and told me he'd seen 19 rabbits sat next to an old railway embankment, he asked if I wanted to ferret it with him. When I asked if he'd got permission he said he hadn't asked, let's just go and do it he said. Some weeks later when I was in the area I called into the farm and asked the farmers wife. No problem she said, just let us know when you're comming as we've had a few on without asking which have been chased. So as you say, it's always worth asking.

Best of luck in selling them pal as they're a bit pricey.

Same in all the sections here these days pal.... Would have to agree with both of you. It's one thing giving advice when asked and another TELLING folk there's only one way to do something. You missed the boat pal. Your a bit late with your criticism. It's been said and i apologised. Also it IS an open forum and i was expressing an opinion (all be it like an angry dick head) Who's a bit touchy today then? I didn't miss the boat as my post wasn't even aimed at you Jai, all I was doing was agreeing with the other posts that there are "enough experts" on this for

Better than Striker. She must have something about her if that's the case mate. Is she trying to pick the rabbits, as in is she striking at them and missing or is she just running alongside them making no attemp to pick them?

Same here Pa.

How true that is bunks. Best of luck with the future litter David. -
I agree it's a good idea to get one bud, infact I wouldn't be without one. But if I was a young lad and I didn't have the funds to get one I wouldn't let that stop me ferreting, after all what did everyone do before locaters existed? Back to the original topic, what was the diagnosis airgunner106.

If you can't trust random people on the internet don't ask random people on the internet. You could always meet people with your parents until you know and trust them. I too asked longdog13 when i started and he is one of the most genuine people you could meet and i've made a good friend, simply by asking and turning up when he wanted me to. If you ask and people offer their help its good to take it. Not having a go its just a bit of friendly advice Also, you clearly care for your ferrets so buying a locator for them is a good idea, its always nice to know where they are. Imagine waiting

Couple of things in your post stand out mate. 1,- You fear the worst yet he won't be at the vet untill tomorrow, why not take him to a vet today? 2,-You say you haven't worked him yet as you don't have the "ridiculasly over priced MK3 finder and collars". Yes they are a good bit of kit but believe it or not ferrets can be worked without them. I hope everything turns out alright for your hob mate and the vet will be the best person to give you advice as he is qualified and will get to see and handle it.

never known it with hobs and jills in my coming upto 25 yrs of keeping ferrets,if you have had this then i would think you dont separate your hobs and jills quick enough after breeding, or don't pay them enough attention to see thet they dont get on and are fighting and should be separated. This will be a first for you then Wullie,- I once saw a jill which had been scalped by a hob, that's no word of a lie. The jill had been in with the hob for less than a day and when they were first introduced to each other there was no hint of what was to follow. It was 3 days after the incident w

How many black pups were in the litter Stevie? -
cheers mate its the redmills im with at the moment but was told 27% protein is to high and go for something with about 24 25% protein or do u have a redmills with less or have i been given bad advise. thanks mate Like everything else, if the dog is doing fine on it then its ok. High protein is only really a problem if they aren't getting enough work in my view and even then its not a health problem but a over hyper, etc, problem. The dog isn't long in telling you if the feed ain't right for the work load. cheers mate he is only 5 months and ive had him 2 weeks so we are just doi
