  1. I don't believe you mate, it can't be done.
  2. You must've been dreaming pal as I've just read it's not possible.
  3. Here's me thinking Markbrick was no longer on this site.
  4. He'll be 11 months on thursday storm. He was bred by Miss Lurcher Bitch and is,- sire,- 3/4 greyhound, 1/4 collie. dam,- whippet X 3/4 greyhound, 1/4 collie.
  5. I've been itchin' to get Blue started on the lamp but the weather up untill last night hasn't been great so I decided to wait. Yesterday it blew most of the day and was still blowing last night so it was time to get started. Picked my mate Tam up on the way and he brought his air rifle along as he for a shot or two. Got to my permission at 9.30pm and spoke to the farmer for 20 minutes, he was glad to see us back and assured us there were plenty of rabbits about. We headed off into the first field after negotiating over and under some electric fences. The beam was switched on at 10p
  6. There can be plenty of young rabbits about even during the "season" Jamie. To be honest I've never had much bother with ferrets killing young rabbits, it usually takes them no time at all to kill them then they move on to the next occupant in the bury.
  7. Steady on mate, do you not think you're giving away too much information there.
  8. Have to agree, Chester knows how to work a camera.
  9. and this is how the rumours start about jills dying if not mated, people making assumtions I was trying to help the bloke and rule out a few things that may have caused the deaths.Have you got any advice he may benefit from? You weren't ruling anything out in your post mate, you were telling him what he should have done [vasectomised hob] . Then you said them remaining in season is "probably" what killed them. As Stubby wrote you were making assumptions and that is exactly how rumours start. I've noticed over the past couple of months there have been quite a few threads abo
  10. By the sounds of it I would say there's something wrong with the conditions your mate keeps his ferrets in.. As Ideation says there are issues regarding the Jill jab, as well as what he wrote I've also heard of them getting tumours after getting the jab so is that really an option? You asked wether anyone did an experiment and i told you an example of what happened to a friend he obviously he didnt do it out of spite or deliberately as an experimant probly more to do with ignorance/not knowing theres also an implant ive heard about for jills and yes they will come in season twice usea
  11. Usually when a Jill comes into season it remains in season unless it's been taken out so i'm not sure what you mean when you say it came into season twice in two months. Had it been taken out and then came in again?

  13. "Sometimes you can get away with it", your words mate so I'll ask you the same as I asked others,- have you or do you know of anyone who has carried out any experiments regarding breeding, leaving in season and using a blank hob or the jill jab? I would be interested to hear of the results? If you don't know of any how can you write the above? Not having a go just wondering how you came to your conclusions. From what i have seen breeding is the best option with regards to health. . .. . but obviously thats a thing you should be doing rarely, so the second best option is a vac hob. Thanks for

  15. he has told and told lads many a time and i can under stand him getting pissed of with it but stubby you put that there for a good reason pal. get it back up pal and warn the lads that post in the wrong sections as said it was there for a reason and a good one at that you'vre got a point mate, I'll make it visable again, and mickeyblue can re post it there Well done Stubby.
  16. Do you believe everything you're told mate? Whoever gave you the above information lives in cloud cuckoo land. To be honest this topic has been done to death over the last few months if not years and if you do a forum search you'll find a lot of different opinions on the subject. I like many others have had Jills remain in season and haven't had one die on me, my current Jill is 3, she's never had a litter and never been taken out of season, so it must be a miracle that she's alive going by some of the things you read on here. At the end of the day you have to make the decision of wha
  17. I had the same problem with my dogs when I tried them on Red Mills, their stools turned loose and had a green hue to them. Never had a problem with Gain or Chudleys.
  18. you can run a dog as young as you want to mate, the younger you learn them the more chance is they wont forget what they doing if they go to a home where they dont get worked so much, What a crock, its scary what gets typed on here sometimes Steady Simoman, the lads oviously knows his stuff coming out with that tripe.
  19. "She is nine months old and very timid". There lies your answer Mickey, some pups are ready to start at that age and some are not, it sounds like your bitch isn't. Give her another 2-3 months and you mind find she's a different bitch.
  20. If you really wanted one you'd find a way.
  21. My youngest son Brodie who's 3 got his first season ticket this year, so he wanted me to take him down to the river. They say a picture is worth a thousand words so here you are. Tackled up and reading the water before he starts. Fish on, or should that be tiddler on. Proudly showing off his catch. Time for supper. He sat on the gravel, finished his crisps and milk while watching me fish then at 9pm as the sun started to set it was time to head home. [/
