  1. Fed the correct amount, exercised well, there is no reason he will gain weight. Imo half the time the weight gain/neuter thing is an excuse for lazy pet owners.
  2. My apologies i wasnt being a dick...well i suppose i was.......its just a pet hate having heard so many dickhead little kids ( the type who have harmed the breed i love more than anyone else ) banging on about their big hard " pits ". No probs Gnasher...thank you for the apology, and i apologise for being sarcastic in my response
  3. Oh dear, you are going to have a very busy day today if you plan on pulling everyone who abbreviates a dog breed. For god's sake keep out of the terrier section, or Patt's, Lakie's, Beddie's and staffie's might just send you over the edge
  4. This might help somewhat Hully.... These convert AA batteries into D or C cell ones.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/4-x-AA-D-BATTERY-CONVERTERS-TURNS-AA-D-CELLS-FAMEART-/290409197196?pt=UK_ConsumerElectronics_Batteries_SM&hash=item439dbcae8c#ht_3454wt_1135 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/4-x-AA-C-BATTERY-CONVERTERS-TURNS-AA-C-CELLS-FAMEART-/350323775589?pt=UK_ConsumerElectronics_Batteries_SM&hash=item5190ec9865 Then you would only have to buy the AA And AAA batteries?
  5. I would hate to see pit's legal again, not because of the dog type as bull breeds are my fav breed, but because of what would happen to them, and what might happen because of them. The thing is, people are not the same as they were when Pit's were legal in this country. Dogs were not as common as pets, and the ones who did have them seemed to 'understand' dogs, not like the thousands of people now, who see them as babies/fashion accessories. Plus chav types were not existent back then, you set your lip up and you got a good hiding from family, and even anyone who knew your parents. People had
  6. I have to carry mine around my waist, when woodga is not out to carry them. Have a belt with two large (look like ) nappy pins either side. Hard work when climbing fences or running though.
  7. Have a good one. 30's are the bestest time, you stop giving a shit what anyone thinks and just enjoy yourself 40's however are not so good ...your body starts to self destruct and decay, so enjoy the next 10yrs and make the most of it
  8. Love to hear about the olduns still in their home and getting to see a bit of action What cross is he?
  9. Nothing like the feeling of first catch, especially when they get it right, well done
  10. Kay, mine live with the dogs no problem Even got a house hen Eating my tea look down at the dogs waiting for a scrap and there is a chicken in amongst them, gazing up with them waiting for a titbit
  11. Please no. Have not been out for weeks and weeks

  13. The extra soaking is just for prior to working your dog hard, not for normal feeding Sound... But, i would not feed a dog at all, before work.. Neither would i .....

  15. I don't think people are trying to be sanctimonious Ethyl. Totally different story a dog going missing when out with the owner or a one allowed to roam free, stray dogs are an accident waiting to happen in so many ways. But fair play to the lad, it must have cost him a small fortune for the post mortem to find out the cause of death
  16. I've also heard boiling water is bad for dry food...don't know if it has anything to do with the oils? I always use cold water on food, rarely feed just dry food anyway.
  17. i always soak my dogs meals in boiling water and leave to cool until luke warm, whether it be dried food or raw, would this be enough instead of using electrolyte or similar product, cheers......john After you have soaked the food, then put more water on till it is swimming. You would only need to use electrolyte replacement if you are planning a hard days/nights work really...say an average night out for a few runs on rabbits for example you should not need it if your dog is fit John
  18. much is that???? and how long would it last you Cant remember to be honest, i've had it that long, do an internet search (greyhound megastore etc) to find out current prices. It last ages, you only need a small amount mixed with water, and to be honest a well conditioned dog will only need it if going to be worked really hard.
