  1. i always soak my dogs meals in boiling water and leave to cool until luke warm, whether it be dried food or raw, would this be enough instead of using electrolyte or similar product, cheers......john After you have soaked the food, then put more water on till it is swimming. You would only need to use electrolyte replacement if you are planning a hard days/nights work really...say an average night out for a few runs on rabbits for example you should not need it if your dog is fit John
  2. much is that???? and how long would it last you Cant remember to be honest, i've had it that long, do an internet search (greyhound megastore etc) to find out current prices. It last ages, you only need a small amount mixed with water, and to be honest a well conditioned dog will only need it if going to be worked really hard.
  3. A dog should not need electrolyte replacement daily (unless working hard daily) or if poorly. I use this..... http://www.vetsearch.com.au/productsSummary.asp?id=43 Prior to a long night/days work, during if needed and after when i get home. If you know you are going out on a big night in advance, soak the dogs evening meal the night & morning before in a vast quantity of water.
  4. Thank you very much catch, he is. Always goes ratting with the terriers
  5. Depends upon the age of the dog but the only difference it should make to him is that he will not produce pups, castration wont alter behaviour, training will
  6. I know of a superb litter just born, from an astounding bitch. I'll try and find out if there are any pups not reserved.
  7. Almost all of mine have died. These were from the first lot of snow and ice... I am still defrosting the pond now and finding just about all of the smaller ones dead (koi, comet, shubumkin (spe?)) I know a large tench and one shubumkin are still alive....but that may be about it out of 11 fish I wont be replacing them, not worth it if this is going to happen every year.
  8. You really need somewhere you can keep going back to time and time again Jim, one day wont solve it. Young pups act different to adolescent ones who have a world of confidence and deaf ears, which act different to adult dogs starting to hunt, with the instinct kicking in. Good luck
  9. Can you send me a PM also Tiff, i'm always in need of either
  10. Tommy died Tiff All the best to you and your man.x.
  11. 3/4 is good going and especially after a lay up
  12. Sorry to be blunt but....You should never let your dogs roam free, no matter how safe you think it is...what has happened just goes to prove why. Dogs are never 100% safe or trustworthy, they are animals. And as for the RSPCA, i would not be surprised if they decided to prosecute you for allowing the dog to roam free, causing suffering to the animal by doing so, the RSPCA are even less trustworthy than animals
  13. Your about the only bloke that didn't
  14. Bloody hell lass, the similarity is astounding You know i'm only joking pet.....you shave your chest
  15. Jazz, 1st x bull/grey aged 11. No running alone any more due to injury but will hunt with the pack. When the ratting starts she is out on long, long days on big numbers, hard work for a young dog let alone an oldie in not so good health.
