  1. You wrote farmyards, so i presumed you meant the yards not the fields Yes there will be the farmers scrap left out, that is the farmers right, his land, he can put it where he wants. Litter caused by the general public, ie chinese lanterns, discarded takeaway wrappers etc, causes the problem in our lovely country, which was the point of this thread Livestock don't tend to eat old farm machinery
  2. you dont get much litter on farmyards? ive seen some thats like a f*****g scrap yard I was referring to fields, where the livestock graze, rather than yards.
  3. You don't get much litter on farms, because the majority of them are away from populated areas, shops etc. These lanterns can travel far, the wire is very thin (nothing like barbed wire...a silly comparison) and the paper draws the livestock to it. Farmers have enough to contend with, without yet another human fad, which causes more unwanted litter and hazards to the British wildlife as well as farmstock! Wire never goes away.
  4. Thank you all....ye big bunch of sexits gits Rude's a good lad Collie/grey. Did think he might be a bit of an idiot after the long lay off, but for once he had a slightly sensible head on him
  5. Been a long time since you were flat on your stomach
  6. First night out in about 2 months thanks to the continuous deep freeze and snow here. You can imagine the young dog has been climbing the walls, so when Woodga phoned yesterday morning to say a night out was on the cards that night, there was no hesitation. At the last minute Woodga was unable to go, so it was left to me and young Toni my lamping apprentice and navigator extrodinaire to keep the girls on top. Toni took Woodga's Typp, and i took Rude boy. It was like daylight last night, and the fields were sodden through, but there was a good wind. The majority of the rabbits were staying
  7. I'd take the dogs, would still need food, and they can run faster than me Superb film nearly as good as 28 days later
  8. That was only for dogs still present in the country at the time the dangerous dogs act came in. None of them dogs would be alive now. A pitbull dog is illegal even when crossed with another dog, even pitbull 'types' as it all depends upon, the people who are investigating your dogs definition of what a pitbul typel can be!
  9. Is that her in your avatar? No, that is me Fecking hell you would scare a plolice horse lol A nasty thing to say.
  10. As has been said, whippets, dogs especially can take quite a while to mature, especially mentally! It took my lad over 2yr to sort his head out, One season he would pick & chose his runs and pull up when he saw rabbits going to the fence lines, i was demented with him. Now he has mentally matured there has been no looking back, and i am over the moon with him He is only 19.5 tts.
  11. Is that her in your avatar? No, that is me
  12. I hope he got something! Horrible crime, horrible man.
  13. Used to escort a patient of mine to visit her husband in prison. She would feed her face full of chocolate and coffee in the room you have to wait in before being called through to visit. One time, she leant over the table to give her hubby a kiss when we went in and promptly threw up all over him  She had 'obvious' mental health problems, and by god waiting in that room with her, with women who looked harder and meaner than any prisoner i saw, looking at us strange whilst my lady chatted to their kids. was scarier than the day i went for a visit to Rampton
  14. Ahhh, so up to your elbows in unmentionables, ankle deep mud, ewes with a right hook Tyson would be proud of, and......chocolate cake for breakfast is not good enough then
  15. Her pain relief might need altering, not all pain relief works the same for all dogs. Imo if she is a happy dog, with just pain occasionally, see if you can sort it first before deciding to pts?
  16. Sorry Brunty, your first post did not read like that.
  17. She was 4/8 grey, 3/8 bull, 1/8 whippet. Died young, never got to full-fill her potential.
