  1. Lovely face, my pal has one very similar...how old is he?
  2. a friend had one square in the mush at 70mph while he was on a superbike ! 2 new teeth,
  3. I had a pheasant fly into my bonnet at about 70mph...£300 of damage!
  4. When the ferrets had young and were emptying the freezers i would get dead pheasants etc, only if they were fresh though. Road kill deer is usually a waste of time, unless you are on it straight after the impact as the guts are usually burst inside, taints the meat.
  5. My pride and joy...... Sissy the tiny Malay Ayam Serama hen completely rules the roost, has cock's, hens, dogs and cat terrified of her Thankfully she hasn't tried it on with the Goshawk yet..................................cos Gos are really expensive to replace
  6. I thought the same about the skimpy clothing, then thought again.... If you think about it, the girls are dressing up to attract a future husband. Society now dictates what is in fashion. For years now, youngsters have been making them selves look like adult women, makeup, bleached hair, skimpy clothing, styles of dance. Thanks to the media children are sexualised from a young age. I suppose years ago they would have worn what was fashionable then to attract their man. They are no different to any other group of teenage girls you see hanging about, except these ones did not have 2 kids alrea
  7. OMG I've been out at night trying to get a night time photo of it. Dont think I'll bother anymore
  8. On the farm i live on, plus surrounding permission. It matter a great deal if i cannot go out incase someone calls the police thinking it may be poachers. I have no trouble with 'one for the pot' poachers. But these people are churning up fields in 4X4's and leaving dead deer. Police are patrolling the area's, landowners have sent letters out to residents to tell them to phone police if they see anything suspicious. The way luck works, the poachers will never get caught, but you can bet your bottom dollar, if my dog is chasing a rabbit and a Roe gets up in front, the dog would switch, and i
  9. thanks for that moll. has the snow gone yet and have you been up to much. ill pm you any ways. Got poachers here on the farm now, people calling the police, so literally too hot to go out in my own garden now so to speak
  10. I use one Superb batteries, you can use one and carry a spare without even knowing you have them. Small and light enough to just stick in your jacket pocket Charge much faster than the old ones. They last about the same length of time...perhaps a bit longer. Dont have to disconnect loads of tape and wires to charge, dont have to tape up before you go out. Main disadvantage is they just got out when out of charge, no warning like the old ones going yellow. But i think they have brought new ones out now with a level indicator.
  11. The only good thing about full moon lamping....you don't tend to trip over as much
  12. Dont have a video recorder, sorry. Got this photo today if it helps My fav is the Puma, they come over very low and slow, if i wave and give them the thumbs up they sometimes come back and forth. To see a Puma swing belly up above your head is like being in the movie's...absolutely superb Have the fighter jets almost daily, the windows rattle they are so low sometimes, and the older spitfire types.
  13. Why would an Apache helicopter keep coming back to the same field and hover just above the ground, in the dark no lights on (through the day as well) for 5 days/nights now. It stays for up to 15ins. I cannot think why??? It is right next to my cottage, can watch it from the door most days/nights. I live near an RAF base and not that far from an army range, but have never had one keep coming back to the same spot time and time again? What would they be doing?
  14. Have you seen how leggy the plummers are getting now
  15. Good thread Before during  after...
  16. My whippet is not a youngster, but he has a thing about wet bitches, he will walk through fire to get to them when their coats are wet, but will not bother them any other time
  17. Ferreted rats many, many times. Found most ferrets wont take to ratting, just come out, but then you get the special ones who likes it, they love it. Yes they can get bitten, and badly, but never lost one yet. Another thing i hear people say on these threads, but never yet ever seen, this thing about does protecting their young...never had a does protect it's young from ferret, dog or man, ever! They are more into self preservation imo. But then again i could never get away with using a smoker, found it killed more to ground than bolted. Dogs and spades cant be beaten for a good day on the r
  18. Have exactly the same trouble with my whippet Cannot take him ratting because he keeps locking on to any bitch preoccupied ratting Edited to add...take him out on his own, he shouldn't need another dog to learn lamping
