I'm sure they will do ok mate,..we only catch a few rabbits,.. here and there.
I've bred these collified jukels, to be handy wee net watchers/mouchers, etc.
Doubt there will be many all nighters on the shushis,.. or coursing black tips on the big lands for these mutts
Just opportunistic hunters,...a bit like me...
All the best, Phil.
Banjo
Are you keeping this pup Phil...??? Sure is a wee cracker....

Real nice pup that by the way
LOL.....
To be honest I'm not sure what they would require...I have another two adults here (as of yesterday) and kinda rotate them around the woodland...the part they have been in for the last wee while is around 20m x 30m...
Think this thread will go tits up like the last Sunday night whippet special and when I wake in the morning 'someone' will have reported it...Paulus will hide it til lunchtime before deciding that the 'roving thread reporter' is after his moderator's hat....and that his concerns were unfounded.... Aaawww bless...it's the thought that counts though...
Nice whippet by the way....
The meat is nice.....I had a litter of piglets earlier this year and sold a couple to a fella (from this site) and his daughter...they gave them names and the lass got attached to them, she didn't want to kill them so they sold them on.....
Ya just gotta keep on thinking 'dinnertime'......
Yeah....those are next going to have half a dozen in the woodland....what age would they be ready to slaughter at....
I kill mine at 26 weeks and they average about 50kg killed out. A friend bought some weaners at the same time as me and his are ready now but i'll be interested to see how much fat is on them . I try to keep mine on a strict ration when it comes to feed but they can eat as much free food as they can find . there's a few acorns about this year in my wood .
That's the plan....
