    Even some of the more 'expensive' stuff - IAMS for example - contains things like 'beet pulp' which where I come from we feed to sheep and cattle....great for fattening my pigs mixed with bruised barley and a cheap filler for 'dog' food..... Beet pulp...wtf....ain't dog food no matter how you look at it....

    http://www.tasteofthewildpetfood.com/products/ As Dave says - it's not cheap - around the £50 mark for 13kg bags. No grain....and all good stuff. Results speak for themselves.... I work on an approx 70% flesh and 20% complete and 10% carbs from veg + pasta or rice.... Works for me and mine.... Might seem daft feeding carbs in the form of rice and pasta when I feed a no grain food - but I know what carbs I am feeding and it ain't crammed with shitty fillers.....

    We've talked at length about this Lee and to be honest I will never tire of seeing pics of Cassie and her progress... I shared, and still do share the views of the lads above, if she were mine I would have had her put to sleep - just couldn't have justified spending what you spent on a dog which, if we're honest here, will never be what she was before her accident.....and I know you are happy with my thoughts on this.... Tell you what though pal.....this is one of the best stories I've read on here....truly brilliant....and once again I take my hat off to you and Mrs BPR and BPR juni

    So would some others of us. Got him from Hancock in 1984 - by Taffy....1/4 collie 3/4 greyhound....brilliant dog....did the lot and couldn't have asked for more from any dog.... The thing is,thats all some of us require at times,not rocket science is it?. Sure thing mate.....

    Mrs lost her Border x Lakeland terrier last summer....I bred him and he was a proper grafter but waaaaaaaaay too macho......retired at 18 months....she had a soft spot for what was left of him so he kicked around for the next 15 years..... It was her wee 'pet' she's on about another fireside dog......might get her a whippet........

    There's some amount of shit and bunkum bandied about when it comes to choosing pups......if they're happy and healthy and well fed and well fleshed, alert and bright, bold and inquisitive with a conformity free from obvious defects just choose it, take it away and make a dog of it....... Ain't difficult.... And if you can't tell if a pup is all of the above try goldfish.....
