  2. rubbish ferrets can get ear mites. it does affect the balance as they move down the ear canal.i have had ferrets with ear mites that had these symptoms. what i am saying is take it to the vets to rule ear mites out.
  3. take it to the vet he will tell you 100 per cent if it is ear mites. it is no good guessing.
  4. take it to the vets as soon as possible. the vet will tell you after examining it if it has ear mites. they can be treated with drops . if left too long a ferret can die from them.
  5. could have ear mites. are there black specks down its ears.if so that is dried blood.if left to long the mites move down the ear canal and their balance is affected.
  6. just seen the article about the stolen dogs in the local paper skelmersdale advertiser. the family look devastated. really hope they have luck getting the dogs back.

  8. good to see. well on the way to being a good steady dog around stock.
  9. no seen it opposite way round softmouth turn hard mouth.dogs which were tired at the end of a nite start to kill the rabbits instead of bringing a struggling rabbit to hand. seen live to hand reteivers on rabbits turn hardmouthed on hares.seen dogs that were naturaly hard mouthed and stayed that way all there lives.its a first for me to hear of hardmouthed turning softmouthed.but if its soft mouthed on rabbits now surely thats a bonus.

  14. had collie lurchers for over 20 years.all the ones i had were very reluctant to retreive when other dogs were present but great on their own.i just moved well out of the way of my lamping partener and his dog. over time decreased the distance took time but got there in the end.but as i say they were all reluctant to retreive when other dogs were present. good luck im sure you will get there.

  19. i am sure many people would like a dog which marks without putting its head down a hole paw up etc. i owned a saluki lurcher which marked like that.my present dog a beddie puts his head down the hole and he stays there till i net up.he has not let me down yet. as long as your dog marks true and does not false mark be happy with it.no one will own the perfect dog someone will always find fault with it.get out there enjoy yourself work the dog.
