    I was out just the other day with an old boy who said he was going to tape up his collar. His reason for this was when we broke through to his dog and the tube was massive, the dog was just on a bit and every time we shone the light in the dog rushed in and took hold. He sat thinking to himself and said "I wonder if it's the same when the collar flashes" , I can't see it myself as the dogs as steady as they come with or without a bellman on.

    Sometimes I feel like I'm banging my head against a wall, on the off chance there's someone with a little common sense still left in their heads and who hasn't been brainwashed by the show brigade. Clipping will not ruin your dogs coat, nore will it send it soft. For all that will jump down my throat, can you tell me how it ruins it and I don't just mean say this old wives tale and that old wives tale, can you physically tell me the reasons why ?     There's a lot of bitching about chocs on here lately, it sounds like some chucks came home to roost. If dogs are bred in bulk for no other reason than colour then what did you expect. It's all in the blood, nothing to do with colour. I'm glad a few of you messers got stung with shite chasing the DREAM. Thats a few years gone out of your life and a valuable lesson learned.

    Top tip, chuck the fell boots in the bin and move out of the last century. There's tons of cheap gortex boots about theses days. The best wax I've found for leather is Renapur, it'll have them water proof and looking tidy and new within a coat.

    10ml in a spray bottle, old window cleaner or similar,it should look like watered down milk. Every tick, flea, mite or creapy crawly will be dead or dying in minutes. Lost without it and nothing else comes close.

    Sand and gravel, tough as you're like but with the right tools it's all good, and not to forget clay, every shovel full out makes a good dent in it but again as hard as bell metal in the warmer months.

    Has it got a wet sore ? Try clipping the fur back from the sore and wash off with hibiscrub, dry off the sore and put Fucibet cream on it.

    If you leave a coat on the entrance the terrier will be on it when you go back, it's not an old wife's tale, it's worked for me a few times. Good luck in getting you're dog back.
