  1. There's still at least one terrier man I know of that uses more than one, he's an embarrassment to the game, he had three in on a tiny little place last season.
  2. I wouldn't say it was a line, type or breed thing, more a lack of faith on the part of the user. The dogs of different standards have become more of the norm, doubling up may still go on but it's become unacceptable.
  3. I'm old enough to have seen the change, in the eighties every single terrier man I saw worked doubled up. I could name some big names but I won't, history is just that. When I started out doing my own thing I heard through the grapevine about a few that had higher standards, better dogs and I tried to conduct myself in the same vein. I can't prove things are better and terriers are better but I know from personal experience that the vast majority of terriers are light years ahead of their ancestors
  4. They have to keep a record of who had what and when to comply with the guarantee
  5. I phoned a few days ago, one of my collars had packed up and wouldn't take a charge. I checked the serial number on it against the box it came in and some gent had swapped mine for a dud ! I asked B &F to check on their file to give me a name so I could put it right and slap some sense into the c**t who'd done it, in short they refused. I'm not going to defend the indefensible but they wouldn't tell me a name, they might of had their arm twisted ?
  6. The implanter only has the information you give them, if it's not correct there's no traceability
  7. The micro chip doesn't require any verification on address or personal proof of identity, you could give any name address or postcode
  8. I don't want to get involved RH, there's a lad who I'd listen to who's already spoke on here, he's done more than me out there so I'll leave it to him.
  9. I've had the pleasure of a good few weeks out there hunting coon in barns and stick piles. I'm not getting involved in the pissing competition about terriers, the only thing I will say is there is no "there's and ours", the Americans get there terriers from over here or at least they did do. If they bought badly then more fool them and shame on the b*****ds that took their money. As you can see, they certainly aren't short on game or the freedom to use their terriers
  10. I'm no Saint, if my back was up against the wall I'd sell my arse lol
  11. There's plenty of well known terrier studs about, if you don't know the people that own them or don't travel in the right circles you'll never hear of them. Who in their right mind would advertise the fact you're good at what you do and have a yard of terriers and more importantly a "producer" in this day and age ?
  12. I've been in the game for thirty plus years, I've only ever seen one Lakey you could dig too. He was a good terrier, very hard but was a total liability in the yard, gassy as hell and was pts after attacking a bitch (in season ) and then a four month old bitch on the same day. There may well be the odd one out there that work but with such small numbers working you'd have all the odds against you trying to find a working line and a pup worth the investment of time and effort
  13. Your obviously forgetting your day release is every six months.... I'm at the shrinks tomorrow, I try and get her to talk terriers but it's not the same
  14. Is there a club in the Midlands ? I never felt the need to be part of a club myself but it would get me out once a month lol
  15. I wouldn't use anything else if I'd got the choice, I'm still wearing some thar are three years old now.
  16. I had one exactly the same, it's covered under their extended warranty, you've got five years with the button and LED's.
  17. You can't even spell pheasant never mind look after them
  18. I can't help but bite, I'm man enough to say I should keep my big gob shut and walk away. What Hagler was or wasn't is in the past, it's no more my business than any f****r else's
  19. Niel IMO you're right, there could be a book on the question and the answers, Pablo , if you haven't seen all types of earths you aren't getting out enough, if you haven't come across an earth with no stopends you're welcome to come and try one I know of. I've dug eight foot and a few foot to terriers ticking away and taken the game successfully but when I've shone a torch to look for anymore stragglers I've seen they weren't in a pot !
  20. Oh and go and have a look at GOAT, if you know anything about breeding it's obvious that there's no border in them. The border blood would be dominant, it breeds true to type, the NS blood is all sorts of everything.
  21. About time this bullshit thread was put to sleep, just a couple ofJP arse lickers trying to do his dirty work for him. When it first popped up i thought to myself "who's balls deep in Jason's arse" the two Ollie's sprang too mind straight away . When no mark lads with no decent terriers or life experiences stoop to gossiping about terriers they know nothing about apart from the bollocks they hear it's EMBARRASSING, prove me wrong. Phone Jason, he knows full well and I'd say it's common knowledge I have no time for DF or his terriers, that said he's probably done more digging than me and Jas
