  3. Thought my mate was pulling my pisser but he has been seeing them go for that on evil buy, so they would have to be treated to Some extent. Buggar, thought we were going back to the good old days for a bit there.
  4. Last six days I have had five foxes from around my fowl pens, just told my mate and he said that's £250 in pelts! Surely the market has not started up again has it?
  5. Think It's more a case of where you are geographically, we are seriously stacked out and cherry picking jobs, but I think the south west is generally a bit better off, in the main because of the retiree population and the wealthy second home owners making for a more bouyant economic climate.

  8. Funnily enough in all my years skulking around in the country side never seen anything like it until about 6 weeks ago i was watching one of the many rabbits in our back garden, at first i thought it was ill, stuck or retarded, then i realised it was picking up and dragging dried grass, it did this 30-40 yds back to the hedge, then on one of my contracts about three weeks ago saw a rabbit that appeared to be nodding, crept up a bit closer and looked through the sights again and it was actually trying to pick up a big mouth full of hay and kept dropping bits, it was really comical, watched it f
  9. This is the way it is starting to go, the rabbit work is going bonkers! I am lucky to have a guy who can do two nights a week for me most weeks but could quite easily take him on full time just doing night work, trouble is he has a good day job.Where you have the amount of quality work coming in like this a good bloke is worth his weight in gold "almost", BUT! he has got to be 101% professional and safe as he has got to be more than a rabbit shooter, he is the face of your business, I am so lucky that my guy is 110%, any muppet can shoot a rabbit but not everyone can be a good ambassador for y
  10. Hi ya D, get em on the bay mate, they are making really silly money on there! see yo soon.

  12. TWOTWOTHREE, yet again a great post!, we are in the process of buying a 1.5 acre small holding down here, looks at the moment like everything we have done this year is going to have to be left behind "bugger", never mind hopefully next year we will make up for it. Atb, J.
  13. Bloody awesome fella! is it a shared plot or is that all your garden? what fruit trees have you there? dead impressed. regards mt.
  14. you might want to get a receptionist to help out with the amount of calls your going to get advertising your wares on here. "I know sarcasm is the lowest form of whit"
  15. Well actually i would not be quite so dissmisive as to say DO NOT use yell products, we have been using them for the last 12 years, I do not like them and tell them that each year, But i do still put some of the advertising budget there, different areas of the country get differing results, down here i would say i get a rough yearly return from the book in the region of 12k, not bad for one medium, yell advertising i am not convinced, it brings in a bit and pays for itself, but i just consider it a way of being noticed amongst the rest. Web presence is obviously the way forward, we do not con
  16. I have only ever got one back nicely mushroomed like the first picky, that was on a very heavy fallow buck who was pumped up on love, shot at about 40yds and he did not have a clue i was there, he just sort of shuddered and started walking off, quickly reloaded but he stopped stood and then dropped. The shot was text book engine room with a 243, the lead was on the opposite side between the skin and flesh, after this i decided 243 was not for me on rutting fallow at close quaters, 6.5x55 after that, thump and they are on their side every time. Now just bought a 308, see how that does things w
  17. You could get a decent one sent over from cabelas a lot cheaper than you would imagine, or you can get hold of plans easy enough to make one yourself. Think actually i might have plans here for one in an "off the grid book", will have a look, if there is i will pop them up.
  18. Indeed! particularly whilst wearing a baseball cap with huge brim and being towed along by a brace of bull cross doggies.
  19. How about a pair of those gimp leather jobs the continentals seem to like? they would also double for use as bedroom fetish gear!
  20. Proper job there chaps! love those sort of jobs. A couple of new farm contracts that i have just taken on down here had those sort of numbers but i had to go in big guns with a baiting campaign as time was an issue, still had a bit of mopping up to do with the stubborn hangeroners though.
  21. Only that it can be hard on your wrists if you have a lot of rabbits to do, could be i just have girly wrists though.
  22. Darcey you are so right, you cant beat good head, ooh my bad! did not see the roe bit.
