  1. Yep, like Matt said! I love my b+g it can seriously chuck out, I've actually had customers comment they thought the roof tiles were going to be blown off by it when they hear me with it in the loft. Holds lots of chemical, way more than you will ever need on a job, Even if you were fogging the Albert hall.
  2. Labtastic she actually gets on well with the estate owner, that's why she wants me to clear them so as not to come across as moaning. Between the estate and her place is a big block of forestry commision so dogging in is a non starter. I think it will have to be a funnel trap job and sell the hens on for laying as suggested, and cocks meet Mr belly pork in a tight sleeping bag.
  3. One of my regular mole customers rang today saying she was having a huge problem with pheasants, they are eating lots of sheep feed and chicken feed, they are also destroying her crops. Her farm is right next to a large commercial shoot. Being classed as a game bird and now out of season just wondering how I stand catching these up and culling? She can prove they are affecting her lively hood any pros ever encountered this one? Should I be looking at applying for a licence? Even though I would be treating it as a pest problem would I need a game licence?
  4. When I still did farm jobs and could not get on it with the truck for whatever reason I used a 130ltr Bergen. When this was empty I knew it was time to in home.
  5. Spot on as usual accuspel ! Hopefully it was not wasted by throwing in the hedge or ferret food after the photo.
  6. Love all lapua ready rolled ammo, the .22 subs are very good. Think I bought the last brick from the sportsman at exeter
  7. Moxy I like your style! He who dares freezes, got to be in it to win it and all that. Bloody mad down here one job done four more come in, not complaining, but I do wish the rain would stop. I have actually worn a good pair of water proofs out since Christmas.
  8. As above! Individual copies or binder? Does not matter as I am not a collector I just want them to read. Cheers mt
  9. Thanks for taking the time to reply Moxy! Thought it probably was but did not want to take a chance without asking. Cheers Jamie
  10. Could anyone tell me if the small blue li po battery that people are using to power the nitesite units is ok to use on the pulsar digital NV? Cheers Jamie
  11. Bought a tub to try, mixed results, one farm office the mice were very clued up but when I used the pearl they were done for. Domestic house should of been easy, they Would not touch it and it has pretty much carried on like this, sometimes they will take it others they don't want to know. What I do like though is if they do take it they are found inches from the box.
  12. Matt,s spot on as usual! The problem is now, not only have you got the dole dossers out there under cutting prices the bloody poles are getting in on the act! Even farmers who want to always save a quid only try the cheap chancers the once, they won't be had twice. What Matt did not mention is the over heads the likes of me and him have we just could and would not go out and charge the stupidly low prices banded about on here, but then, we have both been in this game a long time now and built up good loyal client bases, which if your in it for the long haul is essential.
  13. not only do you have a great camera, you also have one of those really cool metamorphic guns that changes from springer to pcp, how great is that?lol pups retreiving is coming along very well too.

  15. Thought my mate was pulling my pisser but he has been seeing them go for that on evil buy, so they would have to be treated to Some extent. Buggar, thought we were going back to the good old days for a bit there.
  16. Last six days I have had five foxes from around my fowl pens, just told my mate and he said that's £250 in pelts! Surely the market has not started up again has it?
  17. Think It's more a case of where you are geographically, we are seriously stacked out and cherry picking jobs, but I think the south west is generally a bit better off, in the main because of the retiree population and the wealthy second home owners making for a more bouyant economic climate.

  20. Funnily enough in all my years skulking around in the country side never seen anything like it until about 6 weeks ago i was watching one of the many rabbits in our back garden, at first i thought it was ill, stuck or retarded, then i realised it was picking up and dragging dried grass, it did this 30-40 yds back to the hedge, then on one of my contracts about three weeks ago saw a rabbit that appeared to be nodding, crept up a bit closer and looked through the sights again and it was actually trying to pick up a big mouth full of hay and kept dropping bits, it was really comical, watched it f
  21. This is the way it is starting to go, the rabbit work is going bonkers! I am lucky to have a guy who can do two nights a week for me most weeks but could quite easily take him on full time just doing night work, trouble is he has a good day job.Where you have the amount of quality work coming in like this a good bloke is worth his weight in gold "almost", BUT! he has got to be 101% professional and safe as he has got to be more than a rabbit shooter, he is the face of your business, I am so lucky that my guy is 110%, any muppet can shoot a rabbit but not everyone can be a good ambassador for y

  24. TWOTWOTHREE, yet again a great post!, we are in the process of buying a 1.5 acre small holding down here, looks at the moment like everything we have done this year is going to have to be left behind "bugger", never mind hopefully next year we will make up for it. Atb, J.
