  1. Centipde! No wait, um hornet. It was a while since I did mine. Glad you did not chunder.
  2. Go for it! good money, everyday different challenge and office, there is oceans of work out there, just remember trhough, image, consistency, commitment. most fail not because they dont make good pest controlers, but because they dont make good business decisions! business accumen is most important if you are to succeed, unless of course you are going to work for a national not yourself, then forget all the above and just try to remember to turn up for work once in a while.
  3. Brilliant job there Jim! Don't worry too much about the onions quite yet, mine weren't that good until this week and suddenly boom they were away. The whole lot is looking good there, your papsnip are possibly a little ahead of ours. Regards Jamie
  4. Is that a twink on there? I have the x3 on mine absolutely brilliant
  5. Erm, think it should read kid also?
  6. We are just starting to get going, been making the raised beds and deforestation of the Polly! Polly is now full with about ninety tomato plants, sixty odd mixed chilli and sweet peppers plus strawberries and melons. Outside beds so far have about two hundred garlic, about the same in onions and leeks, hundred, ish sweet corn lots of brassica , king Edward's and desira are going in tomorrow. One bed full of carrots parsnip beets, actually this 's going on a bit, we are further ahead than I thought! Will try and get some pics done.

  8. Don't think so, used to use it quite a bit, never had any complaints after, unlike Pybuthrin33 a couple of drops on an eye wateringly expensive wooden floor, won't do that again, bloody cheap fogger
  9. Fancy giving there a go! Anyone know where I can get hatching eggs? Tried to contact someone who sold on evil bay but no joy. Also what's their cross? They look very ixworth orientated.
  10. Well worth a go, if you do would by some hatching eggs when they were up to it. Don't purpose you know someone with wessex eggs?
  11. We breed these, good birds to have around. Eggs are nothing special to look at but regular. Look at the price the eggs fetch on the bay though! We are crossing them with Hubbard's for big table birds and ixworths for the same but slower growing. The makes can vary greatly though even from the same brood, some real heavy and others very racey, the latter go to the ferrets.
  12. Snails in their millions! Boxes literally full.
  13. Absolutely bloody mental down here! We offer a fourteen day guarantee , some times you get called back but this year a job you expect say three we end up going back several times and coming out with a dozen.
  14. Can't beat it, providing they turn out as hens you will get lots of really nice pale blue eggs and quite a few chocolate ones. The first six of mine came out the incubator yesterday, white stars and wheatons , the ones I am really waiting to come out though is the hubbard cross la bresse and hubbard cross ixworths the boys will make great table birds and the hens egg layers with good meat birds at end of lay.
  15. Well they arrived promptly and yes I did get an eight quid handling fee, this still made them substantially cheaper than over here.
  16. Funny you should say that, Kenny just said the same! Lol
  17. Thanks chaps. Kill germ are selling at seven, ish with Vat and rat bait about the same! Just ordered a load from the states for about four pounds thirty something and six quid postage, that's a bit more like it.
  18. Anyone found a cheaper supplier of these? Killgerm do them but they are always expensive. Cheers mt
  19. Yep, like Matt said! I love my b+g it can seriously chuck out, I've actually had customers comment they thought the roof tiles were going to be blown off by it when they hear me with it in the loft. Holds lots of chemical, way more than you will ever need on a job, Even if you were fogging the Albert hall.
  20. Labtastic she actually gets on well with the estate owner, that's why she wants me to clear them so as not to come across as moaning. Between the estate and her place is a big block of forestry commision so dogging in is a non starter. I think it will have to be a funnel trap job and sell the hens on for laying as suggested, and cocks meet Mr belly pork in a tight sleeping bag.
  21. One of my regular mole customers rang today saying she was having a huge problem with pheasants, they are eating lots of sheep feed and chicken feed, they are also destroying her crops. Her farm is right next to a large commercial shoot. Being classed as a game bird and now out of season just wondering how I stand catching these up and culling? She can prove they are affecting her lively hood any pros ever encountered this one? Should I be looking at applying for a licence? Even though I would be treating it as a pest problem would I need a game licence?
  22. When I still did farm jobs and could not get on it with the truck for whatever reason I used a 130ltr Bergen. When this was empty I knew it was time to in home.
