  1. Keep at it,its a long slog with little reward, until you get a result.A bit of permission saves looking over your shoulder and gives you an honest excuse to be in a certain area.
  2. Decent working Bedlingtons, bred from genuine working parents are not easily sourced,or available.there are plenty that are bred and advertised as workers, but rarely are.Do your homework or waste 2 years attempting to get the best out of dross.
  3. Id even suspect that something else was in the mix there?.
  4. Look at the conformation and style of the mutt?,you did,nt originally know its breeding and now you do???.Slightly built and narrow skulled does,nt lend to a Wheaton bred mutt, especially a blue one?.
  5. How easy is it now to source an honest bred working terrier, that works?,the shows fecked the breed up 30 odd years ago,the so called top working kennels beat a trail to their bank manager and the few honest kennels about are dragged into the mire with wannabe breeders, using a name that does,nt have much to do with the original breeding.Money is the biggest corrupter in a so called working jukel.
  6.   We are all different ,but surely anyone who enters a show wants to win?I keep my dogs for work and would never dream of keeping show dogs ,but being competative is part of human nature?Everyone loves a winner, especially the Irish at Cheltenham!!! not every one who puts there dog in a show wants to win or expects too, or i must be different.. i have put a few dogs in knowing for a fact they wouldnt get picked but the money the shows make goes to a good cause Ive also entered a class or two just to boost the coffers, but in the majority of cases the rosettes the main draw, possib
  7. Nine month old, seen and done very little and spoiled?,what book did you get that nugget of information from?.
  8. In todays political climate i can accept that the articles submitted are a sanitised version of what really happens in the field, alas most are what they are, drivel written by 2nd season hunters or plummer wannabe,s that have another book in the pipeline.
  9. What the fella that writes books on Working Bedlingtons, but as never owned a working terrier?,he craves attention and an ignorant captive audience. He,s always wanted to be the next Plummer,ah bless.
  10. The Goverment seems hell bent on supporting the police to crack down on hunting with dogs, even though the lying sneaky twats said if they were elected they would put in force the process of repealing the ban and any such injustice. The smart hunters are having to become even smarter, the burglars, downloaders of child porn and illegal immigrants get better justice than a lad chasing an hare, modern Britain and the wankers that run it.It.Until we get organised and use a collective vote to repeal the ban, which will never happen, we will have to live and work around or with it.
  11. Its 9 months old and possibly needs a little more education and experience,Patience and entering seldom walk hand in hand.
  12. Tidy enough mutt, but why does the owner have a bin bag on his mallet?,
  13. It would possibly think that ive done all the work and that lazy baskey cannot even be bothered to make me a nice 3 course meal or even treat me to a takeaway,he,s just slung me a smelly gutted rodent and im supposed to be happy with that?.
  14. If you start practicing the lotus position in the bath, just so you can sniff your smelly bubbles, you will drown you daft fecker.
  15. Im not a farmer, landowner or keeper, ive even been known to poach at times,i hunt and kill things and call it sport, some would find issue with that. What i do know is that when you enter someones land you are responsible for your own and the actions of dogs in your charge, your also responsible for respecting the land and the landowners property, fences, walls etc.If you then let the mutts run amok out of control and the dogs chase, maim or kill livestock, then the dogs need a bullet and the owner needs re-educating in the ways of the countryside and responsible dog ownership. Some on here find issue
  16. Elaborate how the farmers actions were legal if the situation was in hand? Any dog out of control chasing and worrying stock is liable for a bullet and a farmer, landowner or one of their agents is legally covered to cull them, either straight away or within a reasonable time, sometimes they will not have the resource to do it at the time and may have to take them to a more suitable location. The farmer initially made arrangements for the dogs to be taken away and the owner to then recompense him, after finding his dead stock he was of the opinion, justified i beleive,to not let them have the chan
  17. A few months ago in the same area over 20 sheep were either mauled or killed by dogs, the local farmers were of the opinion it was lurcher owners. This woman had 3 dogs running free in the area, she lost them all and after searching for a couple of hours went home and reported them missing, the dogs were seen chasing sheep and two were caught and handed to the farmer,he then searched his land and found several dead lambs that had been ripped to bits by dogs,he went straight back to the barn and humanely killed the dogs,he later found aborted lambs and other mauled sheep. When he informed the police
  18. Fecking Romanian illegal immigrants stole them all when i was at my Aunties funeral, she tried saving my grandad and a fecking Pteradactyl swooped down and snatched her.
  19. whats best to use for a rabbit skin dummy, are these home made? Sneak up behind a rabbit, shout BOO at the top of your voice, the rabbit will jump out of its skin, quickly grab it before the startled bunny and your ready to go.
  20. Now don,t fecking get me started on Komodo dragons,my Grandad was laying a wreath at the side of the beck, yes youve guessed it,a Komodo dragon happened by and ate him, knowing a whirrier was,nt up to the task of avenging his death i obtained a Collie/Grey,if you think a Collie/Grey can,t account for a komodo then tell me this, when was the last time you spied one on your mooches in Yorkshire.
  21. funny people thought that of plummer when he added beagle and bull blood Beagles were a working breed, bull blood well?. so was the westie? Should have said are a working breed, not many many generations away from what was once a recognised working breed i.e. the Westie.
  22. Don,t get me started on crocodiles, the b*****ds ate my Granny. sorry to hear that bud Cheers mucker, the old lass was washing out her strides at the side of the beck, singing a merry tune as she was want to do,enjoying the sun and passing comment on life to her second favourite grandson, moi, when whoosh,a loud splash,a swirl of muddy beck water and she was gone,as i sat there with tears rolling down my chubby little cherub cheeks i swore vengeance on every croc in Yorkshire. With my hardy pack of Laguna bred Whirriers ive waged war on them ever since, when im not chasing Giraffes around Chester
