  1. yes mate it is, never mind i got it all done now. Deben say it needed recalibrating with a new rod,do you know how this is done?
  2. Phoned Deben today on the number given on this thread, no problem, just need to send it off and they will sort it, do wonder if it may be a common complaint though as the lass on the phone seem to know exactly what the problem was and what was needed to fix it. Quoted me £20 didn't think that was too bad
  3. thank you lads, looks like the way to go!!
  4. No warranty, its in its third season.
  5. Came home from my first trip out and found my locater has bust.(It was not reading very deep) after having a look I found inside is a long black stick(about 4") that is broken in two, it looks easy to replace if parts are available,Can anyone tell me if parts can be acquired if so where. Thanks for any help.
  6. Me as well .I bet the pups out of gypsey and biglandboy look well.atb d now yer talking "D" has there been a litter ? they would be very useful little dogs in the right hands. ATB Vin. Yes mate theirs a thread on here some were with some pics of them they look very handy this one of mine has turned a corner unless its playing mind games with me lol.atvb d This is the Open Show Puppy Champion on the Saturday, The brindle is out of Debbie Mumford's 'Gypsy' by Bigland Boy. Hope you like. we like very much, stunning animal Thank you Buster, Nice
  7. Thanks for your opinion Vinn, Yes D we are very pleased with the pups we kept, over the moon so far with our choice of Sire. Given them a few solo SHORT runs on the lure and they want it bad, we will try them on some live stuff soon
  8. There is and its on the 8th August, Sorry cant tell you any more I'm sure it will be up on here soon.
  9. Lets see your Lurcher then, I bet a pound to a bag of shit it's a mongrel As Dell says my dogs will be with me for life, and doing what the hell I Want to do with them. If this is the sort of crap anyone gets for posting on an open forum then it's a wonder anyone bothers. i think any individual should be able to race, show or work their dog without criticism from others but what really gets me is when show organisers race and show dogs at their own show!!! especially when they are on the commitee!!! i also disagree with town folk interfering in country matters they know nothing

  11. Well done mate, know the feeling well when it's their first catch and retrieve it can bring a lump to your throat. as for kneeling down with arms out stretch is the best thing you could do sod what anyone else thinks. with a pup on its first catch I don't care if it takes the rest of the night, I want that pup to bring it to me. Once again well done and keep it up.
  12. Oh Yes seem to remember you bringing this up once before, so seems like you have nothing better to comment on, as I think I said then, I do work my dogs through the winter but I respect my quarry enough to leave it in peace through the summer, There for leaving me time to enjoy some interesting company at game fairs and shows. Yes we do quite well in Pooch Parades, we also do very well in most working events at such shows too. So to sum up : We do well in showing, we do well in working events, and the dogs fill the pot in winter. :tongue2: What can yours do? :hmm: A good dog man
  13. Thanks mate, The brindle dog is 231/2" and the black Bitch is 221/2"
  14. thanks Samstorm. The dam is a Rescue but we think there is DH,GH, Collie and poss bull or wheaten in her breeding.
