  1. there you go... http://www.ferreting.biz/
  2. I cant see a ferret choking on small bits of bone after all, a ferret does not swallow rabbit bones whole does it, it chews everything up, if you put a whole rabbit in with the ferrets, you may get left with the skull and backbone, so where does all the rest go it certainly aint in the shite pile, proof I think that the bones are crushed and chewed before swallowing, cant see minced rabbit being any different, so for youngsters, who's mum's dont want the freezer filled up with whole rabbits, its a good option
  3. sundays cooked chicken carcase, birds will go bonkers for it,
  4. everyone to their own, whatever way works for the individual, then great, but..... if it was'ent essential, why did deben not just stop at the mk2, rather than bring out the mk3 its like saying, you can drive a car without using the mirrors, correct, but using mirrors makes driving better
  5. last week I posted about members here joining the national ferret register, did anyone give it a thought, reason I ask is, the only information shown on the register is your name, your location, and the fact your clear rabbits for free so potential landowners would not pick me for being a pest control officer, but merely for my location to themselves so last week I picked up full permission for parks and gardens run by chelmsford council, this week Ive been contacted by another landowner in chelmsford/colchester, offering full permission, plus they have a neighbour who wants ferreting don
  6. don't you use the lights at all then stubby ? if using the pinpointer control turned up full all the time that must get very loud and annoying mate, could using it like that be why so many people moan about the noise and go back to the old mk1 ? I'll admit I feel like capt kirk holding a fazer when using a mk3, but a couple of layers of electrical tape over the speaker holes, cuts that irratating niose down, and the niose is only there for a few seconds, as it only starts once your within distance, its then turned down to just cut out the bleeps then holding it while turning a full
  7. looks a nice bit of country there

    quick set

making your own does sometimes work out cheaper, I had a 50yd net, then bought from MAGNUM'S a basket and 11 fibreglass poles, and fitted it together myself, its ok, does the job of catching rabbits
  9. it depends mate, some of those mincers aint powerful enough to grind the bone, all you can do is give it a go, Im presuming you want to mince rabbit, so you can get more in your mum's freezer without her moaning, plus you can feed the dogs some too and yes, the ferts will eat everything
  10. either way will be ok, I've feed whole and skinned and diced into chunks
  11. if you pm'd johnb, he'd sell you the springs/rods etc for a larsen trap, leaving just the wire and wood to buy/source for free, have had good results with them using his plan to build
  12. although live catch traps are good, I use them on some rabbit jobs in gardens, to keep within the law, they need checking at least every 24hrs, so if its a "FREE" job, it then gets time consuming,
  13. get a price up on it, or it gets deleated
  14. x box released a playable demo of it last week, you only got 3 maps, but its the mutts nutts, set in WWII, considering I've been playing COD4 upto last week thinking that was the best, but 5 beats it hands down, its now been removed from play as the game came out yesterday in america, and it wouldent have worked with them having the full version and us only 3 maps, but yes it comes out over here on friday 14/11/08 and I'll be at the shop door as they open even though COD4 has better weapons, I cant get back into it, the graphics are certainly better on 5, and I'd just got hold of some "bo
  15. ask mole catcher, he knows sly.. could'ent resist it
  16. crikey I must have some cornish blood in me somewhere, cuz I red that furst sentanz no problum
  17. aint it great when a bunch of blokes can get together and talk openly about the use of their knobs
  18. but surely, printing the above photo, would prove to her, that snaring has a greater danger to her cats and dogs, than a tunnel trap, if snares are used, could see the possibilties of this going tits up for you have you got public liability?
  19. why cant you use fenns or traps, used it the correct manner, would be a lot safer in a garden, and not so disturbing to the eye, if the homeowner was to glimpse a snared rat

    Question

ok fair point, the only reason though that I can see for us having this debate, is that I replied to this post, 8 minutes before you, coming off of night work, I was keeping it simple as my bed was calling me, now I dont know weather you were coming or going, but as yet, within all this arguing with me as to why I did'nt give the guy the proper description on using a tradditional longnet, where as you seem to know what the true way is, yet you have yet to tell him
