  1. having a slope is fine, if you have a drain for cleaning within the court, but having a slope to let urine run off, wont work, they dont wee the amount to cause a tidalwave, better to just clean them out on a regular basis
  2. polecat, although there is such a thing as a wild polecat, your probably refering to a polecat ferret, which carries the mask/markings, as stated you'll get colours ranging from albino, sandies, silvers, polecat etc, at the end of the day, they all do the same job, flush rabbits for you
  3. although no one in there right mind would want to catch it, its never easy to be 100% clean in your work, Ive worked as pest control for london underground for 3yrs now, and although we wear latex gloves, there are times when Ive had a quick fag break, without washing hands first etc,
  4. if you become a donator to the site (£5 per year) you then get the ability to upload pictures to here, direct from your laptop, however as a basic member, you need to host your pictures on another site first, photobucket is free, once there, you just copy the url and paste in your reply here

  6. after you have uploaded your pictures, you will have x amount in the "manage current attachments" bottom right of reply page, rather than opening it and clicking on each red cross, simply click on the top one, then press your return key, cursor appears underneath, type what you want there, hit the return key, add the next picture, hit the return key, type etc etc for those members that are not donators, you cant upload pictures directly to your computer, so you need somewhere to host them, photobucket is a good site, once the pictures are added there, simply copy the url, by right clicking
  7. and totally off the subject in question, turn your caps lock off, its classed as shouting, and loose the text talk,ya, just read the forum rules
  8. heat it up in an old pan, over the stove, or with a blowtorch
  9. read that first bit, and started getting worried
  10. god, your quick, right get all the tourists who visit london, travel on the tube, walk around, to stop throwing litter/fast food etc on our streets, as this is what the vast amount of london rats survive on, next make sure all dustbins are emptied before overflowing
  11. we have 2 JRT's, the bitch is great around ferrets, but the dog we will never trust, as he's used for ratting, he just see's them as big rats,
  12. lovely looking bit of wood, remember to drill air holes in it, but sod carrying that all day, I reckon it looks heavy too
  13. but why if it aint broke, don't try fixing it, granted ferrets can catch human colds, so before telling someone to rush to the vets for a jab, prehaps asking if they had a cold lately would be the first question, also sneezing is not the only sympton, so you'd ask how the eye's and nose looked data, where are you getting your bedding from?, dont get it from a woodyard/timber merchants, as you cant be sure if the shavings come from treated wood, better to get bales of woodchip from a stables, although your ferrets will still sneeze, its not going to do them any harm
  14. I think you'll find its the bedding, sawdust in woodchip normally cause's them to sneeze, mine tend to stick there head under/in and then pile drive through it,
  15. why is there such scorning with using a priest as a humane way of dispatch at the end of the day, whatever way is used, be it pulling or whack on head, if it does the job first attempt, then you have killed your quarry humanely, if your having to touch eyes to see if it flicks, then surely your admitting that sometimes sretching isi'nt working for you, Im not knocking you, but in those instancies, the rabbit is not being humanely killed pull, poke in eye, pull again where as, a whack with a priest to top/rear of head, and its dead
  16. as your just a member, you need to host your pictures somewhere, photobucket was what i used to use, once you have copied your pictures to there, you can then copy the url, and get pictures onto here, becoming a "donator" to the hunting life (£5 yr) it gives you the option of uploading pictures direct from your computer to here
  17. forums are a great place to get advice of the simple things, like ticks, flea's, cuts etc, but it amazes me that on discovering a ferret in the condition remarked on, that the first port of call is not the vets, pdsa etc, reason being, from the first post, we have "sounds like" worms, diet, food posioning and leg paraylsis it may be one of them, or something entirly different, once a syptom has shown on an animal, its best to seek proper medical advice within 24hrs in my books,
  18. good work mate, a good to see respect for your quarry
  19. right, so you therefore need to repeat this post in a few other relevant sections, ie, ferreting section, longnetting section, running dogs etc etc, or maybe just put a wanted ad up in the wanted section
