  1. as long as he has no proof of you doing anything out of order, I'd phone plod straight away, even if you cant give an address, a full description would be enough to get the ball rolling
  2. CHECK THE BACK POST THIS HAS BEEN COVERED BEFORE too true mate, people just dont want to search anything
  3. topic now locked louis, think you'vre seen enough and got enough ideas for your own, and the repeated bumps by you dont go down well in my book
  4. sometimes owners can be over cautious, things that seem tough to us, is part and parcel of being a ferret, I had 8 jills (mothers and daughters) and a castrated hob in the court, one of this years jill kitts, constantly attacked the other jills, but always came off worst for it,sometimes being blooded, she now has a few battle scars on her forehead, but she's learnt her place in the community, I've now put the 6 hobs back in there too, thats 15 all in the court, and they are getting on great, every ferret knows its place
  5. there are a few on e bay on buy it now prices, a couple offer free postage, if you in a hurry your going to have to pay the price, but cheaper do come up now and again
  6. whats the point of you catching rabbits, just to leave there even from a pest control point of view, you should still remove them

  8. nice one pat & Inan, had wondered when it was pee'ing it down, if you'd be out in it
  9. if you had a 3 page post, that a deleated member had contributed a number of posts to, deleating them and all there posts would leave a topic on one of the forums pages that might not make sense, as half would be missing, thus deleated members posts show up as guest, otherwise w'ed have even more work deleating topics, that may be quite interesting or informative
  10. So who took the photos? lol the tree i had it on a 10second time thing bare with them mate, some people dont read whats in front of them good on ya for getting out there
  11. any animal can and will bite, its all to do with how the owner/keeper looks after it, ferrets are no different from any other,
  12. we tend to go in a group of three, therefore each taking between 2 to 4 ferts for the day, small warrens would only get a couple put down, but anything above 10 holes, we stick at least 2 each, we dont use many purse nets, mostly longnet all around and sometimes cross section that too, lots of ferts gets the rabbits bolting, rather than sitting tight, not saying we dont get sitters and digs, as we do,
  13. normal we work anything from 3 to 8 ferrets at any one time, you'll know what ferts are yours or your mates, and each person looks out for each others ferts, your hoping your ferrets are working the warren, appearing and disappearing from view, done different holes, you'd therefore notice if one in paticular dosent show for a while, at anytime you can use the locator to get a "fix" on a ferret, if the locator tells you the collar is moving about, then you know the ferts ok, but maybe just working deeper than the others, if you get a fix that dosent move for 5 minutes or so, we mark the spot, t
  14. Id go for every 5 or 6yds, any less than that will work out expensive if using fibreglass
  15. have you ever used a spellchecker though so if you carry a spade, it means you'll dig like carrying a condom in your wallet, you'd use it if offered a shag, if you did'nt you'd say NO
  16. if your going to use bells, invest in good quaility ones, the type they use on birds of prey jesses, the cheaper cat type bells are just that "cheap" ok for your moggy at home, but crap on ferrets
  17. forum rules state you must include prices, if you want bids, advertise them on e bay, Im locking this topic until you pm me with a price, which I'll edit into your post and re-open
  18. Id like to see what a few folk that replied on here would do if there batteries packed in and the ferret was on a kill thats a good reason to invest a fiver for a batterie tester from e bay, tests either the 9volt or the watch ones, then you wont have batteries dying underground Sorry, but i dont understand what you mean" block them in each end"?? The rabbits will be mostly congregated in the "stop end" anyway pal! And theres only one way out. So blocking in them in means nothing. You would realize this if you had used a locator, and followed your ferret underground, and w
