  1. no the flue aint plastic , its metal boiler flue, that now has the metal corrigated bendy stuff running inside it, that picture was taken a while back, so the kindling was just the tester, I now tend to burn just logs with newspaper to get it started, although the flue gets hot, luckerly not hot enough to melt those wires, although they have been re routed slightly as for a telly, no but I do have the portable DVD player, so I can sit there on rainy days, fire blazing, dogs sleeping, mug of coffee, watching "out of town" (remember that)
  2. EVERY BLOKE NEEDS A WOODBURNER picked mine up last year from e bay, got it for around £32 and when chatting to the guy that was selling it, found out it had come off a barge down in tilbury 30 plus years before, its fitted in my shed, keeps me well warm when its cold, thaws out frozen rabbits nicely too, and keeps ya brew warm on the hot plate
  3. ALL RABBITS HAVE FLEAS HOW IS MIXY SPREAD BY FLEAS
  4. not heard of sandpaper then

    the ban

as yet there are no bans on ferreting, and this is the ferreting section, prehaps you'd get a better response posting questions in the general, or relevant sections
  6. alot of photo's on here, look side to side, but its not, standing on the front legs, a nick is made above the rib cage and finger inserting, pulling down takes away the belly fur completely, a nick, again on the rib cage and the same pulling motion, takes the belly flesh away, leaving a nice hole for you to shake the guts out
  7. if its classed as common land, it will have rules, the same as parks and gardens, most state no hunting, no metal detecting, no digging etc etc, you'll find out from the local council, not knowing is not an excuse
  8. you call people names for asking a simple question, quoting, have they read the top properly, looks like you have not read the rules properly either, bumping only allowed once a week, have just deleated your last 3 bumps and am now locking this post, in future I'll just deleate
  9. its always best to have a selection of sizes, sometimes have 2 or 3 holes come out in the same place, a large single net can be placed over all 3 holes
  10. gotta be bagpuss for me
  11. they probably get shot, so they cant tell others who shagged them

    cctv

look up baby monitoring units on e bay, I got 2 for around £20
  13. Ive often found batteries that I belived to be good, were knackered, and ones that had been used a few times to still be good, just looked on e bay, its only £1.95 plus 95p postage, so no excuses for anyone not getting one heres the item number 220286136242
  14. no way mate, our boy has a massive rabbit that is housed only couple yards away from my fert court, he gets a run around the garden every now and then, and goes right upto the wire and sniffs the ferts, wish the buggar would pop his clogs
  15. I get mine from e bay, just not the cheap ones, but, and I put this up quite a few times, why dont more people buy one of these at the same time, its a great little gadget for £5, you can then test both collar and box batteries before your trip out, saves collars going dead underground, and gives you peace of mind
  16. needs a price im affraid, see rules
  17. its always better to mix older with younger on first trips out
  18. you only get what you pay for, so good and cheap cant be used in the same sentance, why pay good money out for a locator, and then want cheap bateries to put in it,
  19. do you keep them inside under artifical light
  20. once you'vre run a ferret through it, I wouldent return for at least two weeks
  21. it could also be that someone else is ferreting the same areas as you, only sooner, once ferreted it normally takes a few weeks for rabbits to move into an empty warren, so a set that looks in use, may well have been ferreted days or hours earlier as stated, leave the flask for midday, or have it before you leave home, net up and get the ferts down, if your quite, you can hear the rabbits giving the distress call, by thumping their rear feet, if no thumping or bolts after 20 minutes, move on
  22. love the oldey worldey picture of willow pat, big thanks to you three for the surplus rabbits,
  23. Id say, get some ferrets now, even if they have to become pets, rather than works, much better to get it used to ferts now, than risk that it might not later, we took on a 4yr jack russel, our 9yr old get on fine with ferts, but I could never trust him around them, as he's not been broken to ferts, and still eyes them up as though they were rats
  24. its an open forum, and although you'vre been a member 11 months, your not that well known, so you'd expect a few jokey replies mate, look at it from our side, your only posts/topics are asking for different colours, or euro polecats or interesting matings not anything on ferreting, although you claim to work them, cant blame us for thinking different
  25. from a decent range , then buy a rifle, pistols are ok for humane despate in live traps,
