either the rat attack, or an old strimmer/chainsaw engine will do the job, but like every tool, job location would depend which one is used, any farm or land area, not surrounded by residents, and an old engine suits fine, but what if the job is a hospital, or old folks home, they wouldent want the drone/reving of an engine all day, thus the rat attack would come into its own, quite and non toxic

i8f people took the time to read the discructions on the mk3 they would notice its the bees knees think you mean instructions

depends on money available, mk3 collars Ive seen £35 on e bay, the new mk3m £50, so depending on amount of extra collars wanted, 3 of the new ones, would set you back £150, but for that, you could get 4 mk3's and have a tenner change, after all, how hard is it taking batteries out of the mk3, not much as good as the mk3m sound, and I'd like to try one, Ive already seen posts of people forgetting to switch collars on before putting ferrets down holes, and others saying the collar itself is naff, I personnaly will stick with the old mk3

nice one richie, I did bring up the subject on the new mk3m collars switch a while back, your not the only one thats done it, apart from the switch, Im presuming they are not any different from the old ones

I'd normally say the same as kay, they have fur coats, and can stand cold better than hot, all 15 of mine are still sleeping in one box in the outside court, so as long as they have others to sleep with, should be ok, although we too have 2 pet jills that live in the front room in a very large cage, we moved them out to the garage for christmas day, because my mother was coming for dinner, and shes shit scared of ferts, well our two that are used to a central heated house, looked well pissed off being stuck in the garage

how did you make a living out of your hobby ?

for me, it is more a case of being a pestie, with the hunting as a hobby, over time, a few of the hobby jobs, become paid jobs, but at present, I could'ent survive on paid ferreting/moles/rabbits etc, so I have to continue being a pestie for a large firm, and keep the rest hobby related as in any job out there, theres always "private jobs" that come along, and put a few extra quid in your pocket, you'd be far better off, getting in with a pest control company, getting them to train you, and they therefore pay for any certification needed/BPCA etc then depending where your located, trying t -

also, as stated, practising with the collars at home, makes yourself better at putting collars on, I can remember the first few times I put collars on ferts, my hands were shaking, being fiddly to do up, and every time the fert looked at me, I thought it was going to bite it helps if you hold both front paws when puting a collar on, as it saves collaring a foot too, but once the ferts are used to collars, they know, collars mean rabbits, and are good as gold, letting me put on collars, tightly of course

I'd have expected the nipping to have stopped by now with daily handling, as you took them some time back, not a good thing to have ferts biting while attaching collars

on the mk3 collars, if the batteries are fitted correctly, the top will slide back on perfect, if they are the wrong way round, they will not sit correctly, and the top is a bugger to slide on, thus telling you, you have it wrong
