I dont know any books about fungi, that you can eat, would'ent the book taste funny
  2. I'll leave the others to give advice on introducing ferts to dogs, but my advice, loose the text talk, one is one, not 1 and two is two, not 2, if you get my drift, hit spell check button before posting something, it will show up, just in case people type without thinking about it,
  3. of course, thats why deben charge to do it seriously doubt it, deben wont release plans of how the mk1 was made, so would think the same goes for recalabration too
  4. but you have a telescopic on your rifle in your signature, rather than open sights, is that not a gimmick every tool has its job, weathers its a £100 sight, or a £5 tick puller
  5. well the tail got a rinse through with methalated spirits as couldent get borax anywhere, and the head, has another week of soaking to do in the sealed bucket of bio logic washing powdr mix, Ill post a picture of the finished article
  6. ticks do not live on host animals all their lives, they just feed on them, which is how your ferret gets them once underground, normally a tick once full, will fall off and live in the bedding/area, attaching itself to any host animal once it needs to feed again, so always make sure you do a good clean out and fresh bedding after finding a tick, as there could be more, just waiting to hop back on
  7. welcome to the site, Im puzzeled, as your first line of writing is great, then it all goes tits up, in future, after typing, use the "spell checker" top right of page, abc with a tick, saves unreadable posts getting deleated
  8. that'll teach joeD to come out without appropiate clothing, was lucky I had the works van, and lent him my work jacket, otherwised he would have frozen to death
  9. well done mate good on ya for doing the mole trapping demo, hope ya told them about the torch, shotgun and swivel chair technique
  10. I have 5 of those traps, and 5 of the kilgerm ones, the kilgerm are better, although dearer, you get what you pay for, kilgerms ones are bigger all round, the smaller ones have started rusting already, kilgerm not, kilgerm will catch any size rabbit, the others I think a large rabbit would have trouble getting into, although they make ideal squirrel traps as for using them, I did a rabbit job on a stretch of railway line that was suffering from rabbit eroussion/digging, used 50 kilgerm traps in a line, spaced 10ft apart and baited with grated carrot, got good results of between 10 to 15 ra
  11. had invited richie,ferreter216 and joed to a new permission of mine, but had woken throughout the night to pouring rain and high winds, a few telephone calls later proved everyone was still up for it, so we met up around 9am, by this time the rain had ceased and it looked a nice wintery day, the landowners made us coffee, then we had a wander around the place checking out the warrens, two straight boundary hedges about 100yds each and ideal longnetting, we netted up the first, and then it started....the rain was back we stuck 6 ferts down, and had 3 bolters that we caught, approx 4 ran th
  12. yeah, it was a no go idea, by this morning it had worn off, so think the better idea will be to mark the collars
  13. same as us humans, a snipped hob wont get your jills pregnant, but it will get them out of season, which is best for your jill, when in season,(longer daylight hours) her vulva (found next to arse) will swell up and protude,
  14. your correct on the snipped hobs mate, at the end of day, its down to the number of jills you keep and available money, getting a hob snipped or jill spayed, can cost anything from very cheap to quite high, mine for the snip were £60 each if you only keep one jill, its cheaper to find a member from here, thats willing to help provide a snipped hob, and give him a drink for the help
  15. I have the TDR version, and also use the carbine version in work (work owned) both excellent rifles,
  16. after chatting with ferreter216 and richie about their confussion between each others albino ferrets on last weeks outing, I thought Id try marking mine up, as were all of ferreting tomorrow on another new permission of mine... the only "free" available stuff though, was that spray on hair colouring, and as it was my missus's it was bright dayglo PINK although the ferts did'nt seem to bothered about their new coloured tails, its worn off a bit over a period of 4 hours, but still shows enough for them to be identified easily once were out,
  17. cheers brimmer, the outside is made from my next door nieghbours old anderson shelter
  18. this ones heavy too, it'll withstand a bomb
  19. you dont roll a longnet up if your using it as a quickset net, then you need a basket, otherwise, surely its not "quick to set" if your using it as a tradditional, then its loaded onto an end pin, a bit like a set of curtains Id suggest getting yourself a longnetting dvd from e bay, it'll give you the correct idea
  20. dont you just love young will, openly admitting on an open forum about commiting illegal activities,
  21. a rat can tread water for over 48hrs, dont give advice unless you know its true think he means drowning them oh I know that, but will, would not say that on an open forum as its ILLEGAL,
  22. you'd get better response if you posted this in the CORRECT SECTION, trapping might be a good idea, I'll move it
  23. a rat can tread water for over 48hrs, dont give advice unless you know its true
