    hi

we have a wanted section for a reason topic locked rather than deleated
  2. do that search again, theres a few people who have made their own, then simply pm them and ask away
  3. check weather the exhaust is a two part type, mine had a face plate bolted on the exhaust, I simply undone to face plate, and cut a new one out of tin plate, then put a 15mm tank connector through the new plate and bolted it all back together, works a treat had thought about linking the blower via a tube to the exhaust copper pipe, but not sure if this will dilute the gasses too much, as you'd then be blowing fresh air down the holes the rat attack is good too, exspecially if you make up a pipe, save keep bending down the pipe is held in position, its not fixed to the smoker
  4. can you not read , he has already stated for people to pm him
  5. jack, the dog, kept wanting to eat snowballs

    CSCS CARDS

its all over the country, and its been that way for years, its not "a permit" to work, its to prove you have the common sense about first aid and safety of others, I know plenty of thick englishmen that have failed it, even managers, yet polish friends pass, I'd rather have anyone with a bit of common working with me, irrelivant of nationality,
  8. as already advised, terriers and a smoker are best, doing a good job this way, can sometimes open more doors, to new permissions, people are always happy to praise when a jobs well done
  9. It seems your talking yourself out of ferreting this area, most will give you the same answer, cut the brambles down a few weeks prior, or ferret it as is, and keep fingers crossed that you dont get any digs, lots will stick up pictures of nice flat ferreting areas, but Im sure most of us, still have patches as bad, if not worst than your saying, its what ferreting is all about, you'll need a longnet to encircle the brambles, otherwise you'll miss pursenetting lots of holes within the brambles, then get a decent shovel, and dont forget the locator
  10. send the pictures to me, I'll put them up for you, if you still having problems
  11. we mostly tend to put them in where ever, if theres 3 of us ferreting, we'll all enter ferts at nearest hole to where were standing, hoping for max chaos underground
  12. wondered if any of you guys had an idea on the petrol to oil ratio I should use, made up a smoker using a leaf blower, but want to get the oil mix right, also, where can I get a fuel cap from, any shops in essex? cheers
  13. are you taking pictures on a digatal camera or phone, go into the menu/settings, and reduce picture quaility to the lowest setting, the default mode normally has it set on either the middle or highest setting, which is not computer friendly,

    how?

an easier, less confussing way, go to the page you want to link to, top of the screen, is the web address, right click and copy, then simply paste that into your reply post on here
  15. this has been asked before, try searching in the snaring/trapping section, as already suggested, and if you dont want ferrets, then probably better asking this question in that forum, rather than ferreting section , some will tell you it can be done, others, myself inc think it wont, plus you may find it illegal, as exhaust gass cannot be used to kill moles, the same could be said for rabbits, you cant tell if a non target species is down the burrows
  16. had thought that, that'll be why it kept cutting out , the glove was a short fix, just to see if it would start, will get a proper cap asap, I like the fan idea, had wondered if it could be used in some way, but thought it may weaken the gasses, I'll try a hose running from the fan outlet, strapped to the side of copper tube, cheers para
  17. havent used it as yet myself, but on the rallyscene dvd's, testing the smoker, thats what they discovered, it took a few minutes after smoking, for the rats to bolt
  18. certainly does kay, you can check out her work if you look on the london bikers forum, under wasp
  19. I have a program that checks out all the collection only stuff on e bay, within a 10 mile radius to where I live, last year I won this petrol leaf blower for a tenner (£10) and its been stuck in the garage ever since, so thought Id turn it into a rat smoker, luckerly the exhaust was a two part affair, so I was able to take it apart, and with a bit of modification with a dremmel, fitted a 15mm compression tank conector to it, it did'nt come with a fuel cap, so for the minute have used a latex glove to give it an airtight seal , but could'ent get a spark on the plug, pinched a sparkplug from o
  20. Id suggest checking out e bay for collection only items located near to where you live, you can sometimes pick up second hand sheds at silly prices, if your anywhere near essex, I can supply you with 8x4's of mesh
  21. Hi lad I broke my six year old jack russel and my three year old staffy in to my pet rabbits during the summer. it took a full week and i lost a couple of rabbits but they eventually stoped. and these dogs both go bushing for wild rabbits and it has made no difference to their drive on a hunt. Perseverence. put the dogs on a lead and every time they look at the ferrets turn them upside down on their backs and hold them securely for a minute and give them a tip on their nose. repeat this everytime they look at them, they will learn. gradually bring the ferrets closer. also put some of the ferr
  22. our 9yr old JRT bitch is great around ferts, yet only introduced to them a couple years back, can trust her 100% but our JRT x plummer dog is not allowed anywhere near the ferts, cannot be trusted, as already stated, if they have had rats, that makes it harder
