  1. JUST!!! had to take the kennel roof off, and the door on the run, it fitted with only a gnats whisker to spare, just a few finishing touches to add, the kennel passage set at 90 degrees to the front as john suggested, may also fit some guttering on it, as I was just standing inside while it was pi$$ing down, and a fair amount of rainwater comes over the door
  2. cant see no reason why she shouldent be ok, presume she is in good condition/ health etc although, if your this worried, why let her mate in the first place
  3. great catch and pictures, but did you really stick dirt up your ring
  4. I would go for the two hobs option, if you get two kitt brothers, by the time they come into season, having lived together for best part of a year, there should be no fighting, ok they may become bum bandits for a month or two, but no expensive vet bills to start, if then in the future your mum falls in love with these giant teddy bears and allows you more space for hutches/court, you can get some jills, then look at getting one hob snipped and one castrated or left intact. at present I have one castrated two snipped four intact all living in the court, jills not in season yet (
  5. stick another hole in that collar and do it up tighter next time, great pictures though
  6. had thought of doing that, but Id loose a lot of space, as its full to the brim already
  7. you could have not signed the np but wrote on a seperate piece of paper, that you and your wife were both in the car, taking it in turns to drive back on a long drive, niether can remember seeing a camera flash, therefore you cant remember who out of the two of you were driving, its down to them to prove who was driving,
  8. well the quick repair saved the tarp, no splits or tears, have built the kennel, just need to build the tunnel at a right angle as john suggested, and wait a few more days before putting it inside, give the floor enough time to cure, total outlay; timber £90 concrete £54 tarp £6 =£150 luckerly, my job involves using the pidgeon mesh, so a few sheets found their way home with me
  9. not much point asking the question then
  10. council own it, but its managed by roadside agency, Ive got a link somewhere I'll try and find it, or look yourself on the nation ferret register, the links there somewhere
  11. how windy is it up north? and note to self, dont try saving money by putting tarpulin on roof, just had to battern it down with some 3x1 batterns as the sheet had come away at one end, pi$$ing down and windy as feck, but you gotta love ya missus, when they standing with you holding the torch
  12. hi all, have just finished building a dog run on a buget, 10x10 with concrete floor and tarpulin sloped roof, I want to build a wooden kennel, maybe with a lift up lid for the jack russel to fit, have seen a few with a tunnel like construction added to the entrance hole, presumably to stop "wind" blowing in, maybe raised it a few inches for a circulation of air, anyone got any pictures of something simular

    bump

as kay said, but I'll add, that if used in a for sale post, it can only be "bumped" once a week, or risk getting it deleated without warning
  14. looks like you had a good day as usual, sorry I couldent make it, but the dog run needed finishing, which it did, just got to build the kennel now
  15. nice pictures, I want that beddy
  16. you only go once a month, so someone, hoping to get their 1st permission, may be looking at going every weekend, sat and sunday and in between, and therefore hoping to get bigger counts and therefore quote 100% at the end of the day, the golf course wants rid of the rabbits, the more the better
  17. even simpler, call them lurchers
  18. I did'nt, I got her to buy it , being a 2nd time round and having paid quite a bit the first time, you realize the price has nothing to do with it, no amount of money can make it better or worse, both our wedding rings came to less than a ton
  19. must be dodgey batteries, my 9volt batteries last for months, and they dont cost the earth,
  20. I always put a handful of dry ferret food in the fert box, plus take some fresh water for half way through the day,
  21. well yes, legally they can do something, read that bit again, gun laws act 1960, if they were to observe you, call the police and then arrest you in police presence, they could take your gear
  22. well, from reading what matt has put up, they dont have the right, but if with a police officer, then they can,
