  1. put extra holes in the collar, and do up tighter, getting them off, shows they are put on too loose to begin with,
  2. dare I say another ferret keeper, not understanding ferret behaviour
  3. they probably ar'nt anti, but consider a "boss" employing someone who own's guns, he may feel scared you'd shoot him if the job went tits up maybe, just re word it better, SGC/FAC certificatated, enjoy country pursuits etc, that way, if an interview has gone well, you can always expand verbally on your hobbies, or not, depending on job etc
  4. think that proves the guy's honest enough, so if you want to help him, pm him, but no more negative replies please people
  5. just playing/acting out, dont worry about it, but you'll need to either get jill jabs or snipped hob to bring them out of season at some point
  6. time limit I would think would be a big factor, why make the job harder, watching the clip, traps and cover could be laid in seconds at each entrance/exit hole, rather than digging, setting, filling in, idividual mole traps, just my thoughts mind
  7. why do you need to switch just buy a mk3m collar, but keep the mk3's that you have already, all work from the same box, otherwise you'll be selling mk3 collars, second hand, therefore getting less than there retail value, and paying out more for new mk3m's, seems silly to me
  8. think that answers your question, ok you could put him in a seperate hutch, but what about when ferreting, with what you have already, plus kitts, why take on another problem
  9. has anyone else got a vitara, or have a friend with one, that has the full nudge bar on, as Ive finally picked up a set of bars, but of course no idea of how they attach, as no fixing brackets with them, if anyone can crawl under a motor and take a picture or two, I'd be much obliged, maybe I can fabricate something cheers
  10. yes, your right on the humping each other bit, but stressed, I'd have to differ on that, I have 7 hobs together, no fighting, a few marks, but nothing serious, I suppose its down to how the ferrets are housed as well, mine have a large indoor and outdoor court,
  11. do you have a link mate ? or web address i remember reading about it on here once there you go http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...st&p=269166
  12. sacs for me, as it covers you for all forms of hunting, rather than just shooting
  13. or as its your first attempt at keeping ferrets, get a couple of hobs instead of jills, nothing to worry about then,
  14. oh yes they can, we carry out sticky board jobs on underground station platforms, upto 50 boards per platform x 4 and stay there all night, keeping check, and removing stuck mice, but Ive also seen mice run so fast, they dont stick
  15. get new nets and stinkers, and raise your security, or lack of it
  16. have both 4 and 5, and thought 4 was the mutts nutts, until I played 5, being older style guns, slower rate of fire, means you need to practise more on game play, rather than just hitting the trigger, also the perks are better, bouncing betty's once you'vre completed the game, you also then get the free zombie mode, which is a right laugh playing online with another 3 mates, have got to level 18 on that so far plus 3 new maps are coming out march 17th for COD 5
  17. as much as chocolate is good, it oftens dries out/becomes hard, and therefore easy to pull off the trap, far better to spread peanut butter on the paddle,
  18. that just had me and the missus, crying with laughter, I nearly had snot coming down my nose
  19. good on you for thinking of the ferrets, but Id replace to bottom panel, looks like veneered chipboard?, will bloat and break after getting damp, ideal escape route
  20. as I dont know anyone thats a couple of hundred years old, I cant answer that one, but Im presuming that nowdays, ferret keepers care a bit more about their ferrets, way back then, maybe they shugged their shoulders and went home, the question will get answers giving you pro's and con's, its a bit like me asking you, have you a mobile phone or computer, and do you really need one, after all, people got on fine for years before they came along,
