  1. you'll find that exhaust/heat proof putty will harden and most likely fall out, better off going to car spares shop or salvage yard and getting a metre or so of radiator hose, comes in different diameters, so take the smoker with you, and get one that pushes on tight, if need be, fasten in place with a jubilee clip
  2. I'll find it a place, if you want
  3. location is on my avitar as essex, so not totally in the wrong, donny, have 7 at the moment can pm you when I get the other 3
  4. nicely written up post mate, enjoyable to read
  5. have a few sheets left over from last job, £7.50 a sheet, great for dog runs, or making pidgeon traps
  6. but that wont tell you how much life it has in it, may be ok for an hour or two, and then goes flat
  7. yes, collar batteries go in the opposite side,
  8. used to buy a few club t shirts from a bike club me and the missus was in, normal to pay between £10 to £15 but they were very good quaility t shirts, still have one thats a few years old, yet still looks new (ish)
  9. I'm glad we wer'nt the only ones swallowing headache tablets when we got back, just shows how much we breath the fumes in without realising it, good pictures as usual pat, the quaility of the camera, shows in the pictures,
  10. well, we had smoker and dogs, but no permission so richie kindly sorted out a days ratting on one of his permissions, a massive farm with lots of outbuildings, pheasant pens, chicken plant etc, myself, my missus (wasp) richie and pat turned up around 9.30 and got off to a flying start with our JRT bitch catching from the second area smoked, we carried on getting ones and two's all day, finishing around the chicken sheds, when we found out that some guys had ratted all areas 2 weeks before maybe thats why they were a bit sparce, but neverless, it was a great day out, in good company, watchi
  11. try battery tester, done it for your, so no excuses........ e bay number 220309288372
  12. needs prices and location to stay here
  13. hope you find the ferret, but why cant people invest in one of these for a fiver from e bay it beats me, how anybody can go to the bother of having a locator, yet not check the batteries EVERY TIME you go out,
  14. some good tips there, barring 9. Never take more rabbits than you need, remember you want a constant supply and rabbits wont breed in the freezer! which then contradicts this one 6. Keep on the side of the farmers remember, the farmer does not want a constant supply of rabbits, thats why he's asked you to ferret, I'd prefer to hit the rabbits hard, to the point that the farmer notices a difference, and then is happy to give you overall permission, and recomend you to his nieghbours/farmers as you'vre done such a good job,
  15. although Im not helping with an answer, can I suggest that you press the caps lock key, this will put you back in lower case, as upper case looks like your shouting at us all the time, and download the spell check program, top right corner of page, just so you can run your post through that, before hitting the reply button, although checking old posts, seems sometimes its word perfect
  16. go back to the two that were out
  17. I'd leave them together, or you'll end up with lots of single cages holding single ferrets, yup they will try it on with each other but also get a pecking order
  18. as its used while ferreting, you'd simply pick it up and remove the ferret it has a one way trap door, you cant see that in the picture as its in the rabbit hole, so in answer to your question, no
  19. dont see why not, ferrets love the company of others,
  20. lucky so and so, that'll be well easy to connect a pipe too, I normally just fill up the tank with petrol, then add a glug or two of 2 stroke, as stated, dont add too much or your have trouble starting and plug will get oiled up, someone did say they add a glug of diesel to make it smoke more
  21. dont know where you heard that, but its wrong its legal to trap them, but you then need a legal humane way to kill it, releasing outside your area is technically illegal, which leaves you with shooting, not an air rifle though try pee'ing around your shed, worked for me,
  22. have a good look at the exhause, if its held on by two nuts, remove it from the engine, mines a converted leaf blower, and I was lucky enough that the exhaust was made of 2 pieces, the main body of the exhaust, and a front cover plate, I simple made a new cover plate from some old tin plate, and drilled a 15mm hole in the centre, to which I connected a 15mm compression tank connecter (plumbers shop) I then bolted it all back together, the tank connector then has around 18 inches of copper connected to it, and you'd then use rubber hose to whatever length you'd want
