Had to google that one mate...... Funnily enough he started out in a Rolling Stones cover band called " Tumbling Dice".... Before forming Srewdriver..... ( I hope i'm on about the right bloke this time lol)... I never wrote political stuff this was a one off after a drunken discussion one night.... Normal shit lol Got a mate who's right into the punk scene, always on about " cock sparrer", goes to the punk do's around the country, with a few lads who all drink in our local.... He came around and watched us a fair bit, we weren't punk, but he said he enjoyed it........ He's my mate lol Cheer

Cheers lads, it just popped in my head earlier, it was written about 15 years ago but we probably haven't played it for 9 or 10 years....... When I read it I can hear the tune, but I'm not sure it works as a poem really.... You need out of tune guitars clanging about behind it, and a pissed up crowd lol......
  5. I used to write a few songs and play in a band.. We don't do so much now, but still get in the studio occasionally for an hour or two........ When driving today I remembered a song I wrote when I was around 21, it seems quite apt with a few of the posts recently.... The song was called ..Immigration Do you hear the whispering, I can feel unrest A nation that is wakening With issues to contest No more the majority I fear our shores are being swamped And in this tiny country It's starting to get cramped But don't you call me a racist, when a realist fits me fine I was warne
  6. Interesting views on all of this, but hey ho here's my take on it.... I have a 14 year old daughter, her phone is vetted, her lap top is snooped on, she doesn't walk around the streets EVER after dark, both me and my wife openly explain and discuss the dangers she faces at this age, under age sex, smoking, drinking, drugs..... Don't forget kids today can be corrupted in their own house through the vile twats who float around the Internet sites, this alone is a problem most of our parents never had to contend with.... On they're phones at school they can share vile porn, boys see things at
  7. I hunt with a lad who's from the isle of Mann, I think you'll find decent numbers out there by all accounts.... He would see them at night mainly though.. Cheers Kev
  8. Cheers lads Tomo: That tree always holds mate, I'm glad it made you feel a little nostalgic.... Unfortunately a lot of the fields and hedgerows we done as kids has been ripped up and replaced with a bloody great tescos, roads etc... Cheers Kev
  9. Thanks mate, most have young in them now anyway and this is my local bit so I don't want to kill it this time of year, She loved it, asked me last night if she could come this weekend too... I've got a proper Tom boy on my hands Atb Kev
  10. Cheers Sean, All kids no more than adults mate, they tell me what I'm doing wrong lol ATB Kev
  11. Cheers lads Your right The One, my eldest girl is too girly, but the little one is dead keen and my lad enjoys ratting and fishing more than ferreting... or so he tells me lol Anything to keep them of of the bloody computer games....
  12. There was nothing much planned this weekend, we've had a good few weeks lately and had a few out of the hedges, but this weekend I was on my own so it would be a couple of walks with the dogs and a few ferts/nets on the smaller burys....... a good old fashioned mooch Saturday morning was cracking lovely sunshine and it was good to be out, I headed for an old oak tree right in the middle of stubble field, it normally holds a couple and sure enough the terrier soon marked. a few nets on 2 ferrets in and the thumping began, it took a while to shift but after a fair while of the dogs trembling
  13. Some nice pics there Wirral Countryman.... Well my Jack russel, can not stay at home when we're out with the ferrets, she would sulk. Cry and try to run through the door lol.. I agree with Sirius on this one in the main, if I had a straight choice between a lurcher or terrier for ferreting it would be the lurcher.......... But I love ferreting with a terrier, once they get it they mark solidly, and rarely falsely, mine has caught plenty from un-netted holes, she'll follow the ferret that's moving underground, if I'm out on my own she'll guard nets etc......... Bad points, Hard mouthed ain
  14. Good bag mate, like you spade too, must be all sand on your land lol
  15. Well Fuji all I can say is you don't half get some stick, you always come over very well on here, but it must get on your tits at times lol... I didn't see it coming on this thread though... I thought this thread was for Baw, he just failed to get a rise lol...
  16. Nice one mate, done the same myself this morning...a little walk with the dogs and couple of ferrets, had one from under an oak tree, and missed a couple home by 11 for bacon and eggs and a family day... I'll do the same tomorrow, just nice to be out early... Cheers Kev
  17. Well done Vin, that's a good shift you and the dog have put in, Shame about the lamp Fuji/ frankel still a good bag, but sounds like Don was on for a big one... ATB Kev
  18. We pick the easy ones lol some of the feckers down here are proper gurt big things.I Know what you mean mateGet in there MIck http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/laugh.png Lol time spent on reconnaissance is never wasted :-) It's those big Devon ones with a stone faced bank that can be hard work especially on a dig. Your not wrong, but the rabbits aren't stupid and always seem to be in the heaviest jungle on the hedge.... We're the idiots that can't resist the challenge lol Got a couple of spots on the edge of the moor, with the huge boulders
  19. I knew ,when I saw the title last night, that you'd be on this one mate lol

I agree with you Fuji on the terriers not helping with retrieve, I've suffered the same with mine..... Dummy's and balls no worries... Rabbits not so good lol... You got to keep trying though.. ATB Kev

  22. Cheers Baz, she's a bit of a poser at times ATB Kev
  23. Well done Sirius... There's nothing quite like seeing a rabbit hit a well placed run net at full steam.... Or a terrier for that matter lol Good bag mate, and a nice day for it today...
