  1. My mates were out in full dress on Rembrance day, 3 marines and a navy lad, all good boys.... Asked to leave 2 pubs for no other reason than wearing their uniform ON Rembrance Sunday, after marching and remembering their lost friends..... The countries to f*ck I'm afraid, we're a divided and fragmented nation now, with little or no pride....
  2. Why has it been left so late to tie up Walcotts contract? Surely this time last year would of been the time to get it sorted, the lads 23 so another long contract should have been in place sooner rather than later, i would of thought According to Today's papers it would look like Ba is leaving the toon, now that would be a blow....
  3. Be interesting to know facts. There's very few where I am, infact your very lucky to see even one but in larger numbers I'd imagine they could make a dent in the rabbit population. They love a rabbit. Never see them where I live mate, worked in Bracknell for 6 months and we would see them every day, a lovely looking bird... Never seen big numbers together and from what I understand the big gatherings you see are around he feeding stations... I'm sure they would take a few rabbits but couldn't see them making a big dent in the population.....
  4. Seen a lot in Surrey, the photos you've put up are probably taken around the feeding stations which are dotted about, they are primarily carrion eaters and I wouldn't think they would put much of a dent in the rabbit population and little in the hare.... I would say disease and the constant wet weather would have a lot more of an affect Cheers
  5. There isn't one manager in the prem who hasn't had some type of outburst towards the officials, but cause it ferguson it's the old story of he's lost the plot, or he's an old twat blah blah.....it is pantomime season and he's playing to the crowd, 7 points clear he don't care if he's liked or hated its all about success to him and no one can argue with his success.... As for the team, they are leaking goals but blessed with attacking power, a little like the old Newcastle side.... You can come unstick like that though ( as keegan discovered) there maybe a little action in January's transfer
  6. From first hand experience when you confront your average burgalars the ass falls out of their trousers, 2 of us 4 of them and no weapons, I'm sure just the mere threat of having their legs blown off would be more than enough for the majority of these cowardly type criminals......
  7. Malt: I'm with you on the "offside" goal, johnny Evans got himself in a bad position and tried to get back in touch with the player, he even had his arm out reaching to find the player and get back in contact, that affected how he played/ defended the ball, so I think it should have been offside..... I'm not sure if that is how the law is written though, I've played half my life and rowed on weekly basis with linesmen and refs..... Mainly because I can't time a run lol
  8. Good bag again Brimmer, well done mate

A few of us in similar boats in the New Year, my wife goes into hospital in feb for a big op, we've spent a couple of years in limbo with her on different meds, but nothing's worked so its an op now and another 3 months later, hopefully that should sort it and I've promised her a holiday at the end of the year with all the family.. Whippet99: I've seen a few of your posts mate, and I can only imagine how hard it is for you, I truly wish you and yours all the best for the future.... Darbo: I hope everything goes well for your wife mate, All the best to everyone for 2013
  12. Your right Floyd, he is big headed but he backs it up... It's no good being a talker if you can't do it... He can do it... I don't think he will be off quickly, he stayed with Chelsea until the Russian had enough of him, I don't think he wanted to leave, but he's not the type to be told what players he's got to play ( shevchenko) etc, fergies the same could you see him being told by the yanks who he has to play, he'd be long gone too. I don't think we'll ever see another stint like fergies put in, but give Mourhino free reign at utd and where else would he want to be?
  13. Maureen would thrive at OT I reckon.. He'd be the main man at the centre pulling all the strings, unlike at Chelsea where he had to deal with numerous directors of football, etc and an owner who was forcing his own choice of players on him.. He would fit I reckon Malt, the club is right for him... And I think he would come, perhaps he'll bring ronnie with him?
  14. Sir Alex, couldn't give a shit if he's liked or not, to have his success takes more drive and hard nosed will to win than most could handle, he's not in it for popularity, mourhino to me is a similar type. Fans of other clubs won't like fergie ( obviously), his comments after the Swansea game were over the top for sure, but there hasn't been a lot of mention about the shoddy performance ( no disrespect to Swansea who are establishing themselves as a decent premiership side), or rooneys worst game for ages, good deflection maybe..... We should enjoy the old boy while he's still there, he'll b
  15. Chocolate biscuits ( Santa don't like mince pies in my house), glass of milk and carrot for Rudolph..... Just put the stockings at the end of the bed and written a thank you note in finest Father Christmas handwriting.... I'm like a kid I can't sleep I might go and give them a nudge to wake up lol
  16. I'm down in the south west and its crazy to be honest, all the rivers have burst there banks, the village down the road ( stoke cannon) is completely flooded ( as are many others) for some this will be a hard Christmas, homes have been wrecked.... It's still really mild and its rained again today..... I walked one of the farms on high ground earlier and it's saturated, half the fields are still stubble, and the drilled fields are like swamps, as Millet said its gonna be hard for the farmers... We can only hope it will dry up soon, but we've been saying that for months Ps the pup looks in
  17. Well done there mate... Looks like you've got the right dog for the job, like the look of her too
  18. We use extra length nets with 1 peg as run nets through the hedge, there normally made as poke nets with 2 pegs. My ferreting partner gets them made with 1 peg as we find they purse better. That's how I would use your extra sized net mate, find the runs through the top of the hedge and cover it with the big net..... Edited to say Just re read your post and 8ft is a bit bigger than the average poke......still could be useful though..
  19. What's "watch your feet " all about? ......
  20. Nice one mate, that's a nice pic... It looks like it was a bit bleak come the end mind....
  21. Nice one mate, love the last photo of the bike laden down.....
  22. Cheers lads Your right there Sirius, it was great to get stuck into a few....
  23. Really interesting read Brimmer, we definitely try to keep moving down here bolting the rabbits......digging costs time... Mostly ferret hedges, which are deep and rough, it's normally through roots and rock so digging is a last resort..... It's nice to read about different ways mate, ATB Kev
