  1. On another note, so impressed with how Declan Rice has just slotted in at Araenal and is probably there most important player now, he was brilliant on Sunday, I'm not sure who I'd pick out of him and Rhodri at the moment to be honest...proper midfielders... must be gutting tinged with pride for Hammers fans, another brilliant talent through the club...
  2. I think, and not speaking for Gnasher, he meant he's only 28,in that, it's not a gamble on a 35 year old on loan.. the very fact you've got a player in his prime years is a good thing imo, he shouldn't take long to get up to match fitness.. I feel a bit sorry for the lad, he probably would've got a loads of game time anywhere other than City...
  3. I'm not sure of his record exactly, but he only lost the once and must've been in 20 or so championship fights... 35 plus fights? He had a lot of hand trouble later on, which probably was a big factor into him finishing when he did... Im unsure how many times he was actually hurt, he was so unothodox it made him look more troubled than he was at times, and then as you say he would produce some ridiculous shot from a crazy angle and that was that..lol You could say struggled, I reckon apart from Barrea he knew what he was doing!! Lol
  4. Don't know how true it is, but the media yap is he struggled with his sparring, maybe a bit got left in the ring with the Nganou fight, he certainly never expected to be put on his ass that's for sure... I think Paddy's point about his mental state is very valid as well, I've no doubt the cut is real, was an accident etc..but surely with only 2 weeks to his biggest fight you would be completely risk adverse and hard sparring would be off the agenda? The bottom line is the heavyweights division is a racket, none of the top 4 or 5 have faced each other and made the fights, Chisora, Nganu, W
  5. I think had a fair bit more than "that one shot"... yeah he got floored a few times, more glancing blows and off balance type put downs... Naz, for me, was one of the best we've had, he generally backed up his brag, entertaing, always, played the part perfectly, you need those chatacters imo..beaten by Barrea in the end, and no shame in that, I think his heart was gone by then....
  6. Yeah the showboating takes away from his talent rather than adds to it imo... you can see why he'll get compared to Naz, he could have real crowd appeal.though and attract non boxing fans to either love him or hate him (Eubank, Naz like)...but is still got real core boxing ability, I agree it is for public appeal, and him jumping behind the mic even further pushes that agenda... but .. I'd much rather that then the shit you tube fighters, or Tommy Fury with little to zero talent and only public appeal.... Time will tell if he can step up, my guess is there will be less showboating once he
  7. Yes mate both taken on phone camera...cheers
  8. Good call mate, I just don't think.Azeez was busy enough, he was in range but not throwing as much as I expected, Buatsi controlled the majority of the fight, both seem decent lads though... Probably the best division at the moment, loads of good fights to be made...what do you make of Whitaker? I know its early days, but the lad he fought on Saturday has been around a while, and been in with a few good fighters, he made it look easy in only his 6th fight...
  9. That's awful mate, for the pair of you to deal with it at the sane time must be pretty rough! Hope your both on the road to recovery mate...
  10. Nah, nothing was humorous and no ones "dealing with it".... I'm not even a royal at all, don't care either way for Charles... a bloke gets kicked off here for being a bit Sarccy to other members, but revelling in someone with cancer is OK... infact applauded... ill call it as I see it mate...bad show imo
  11. Pork chops, onion gravy, mash... old school and one of my favourites...
  12. f**k me, even a cancer diagnosis isn't bad enough to save you from conspiracy theories and hatred... wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy doesn't apply then...
  13. Yeah that's where the deal looks dodgy mate, didn't West Ham do the sane with Lindegard a few years back? Had a great loan spell with them but couldn't sign him? It's a big gamble monetarily wise, but perhaps West Ham can't full that huge hole Rice left behind, and with them.in around the top 6 see Phillips as the perfect player to push for Europe..as Wilf says they must have the money to back it...or perhaps there is an agreement somewhere to extend/sign? I'd also say at Newcastle with Guimerez and Linton you have a very strong spine.. perhaps more so than West Ham?
  14. As my reply to Stff, I don't think.hes match sharp, and it's a big gamble to get him there by throwing him.into matches.. but Moyes has rolled the dice and can't leave him in the bench on those wages! I think Pep more than any other manager, maybe ever, has an absolute blueprint for a player and it has to absolutely fit, look at how Grealish has changed his game, just being showy would never be enough, there has to be an end product in everything you do, whether its a simple 5 yard pass played perfectly or smashing a 25 yarder in, there is minimal waste... Rhodri is the epitome of that,
  15. 2 years ago he was exactly what you want in a midfielder, I'm sure we talked about him mate and said we were impressed, he has ability no doubt avd i agree does everything well, hes not a match winner but plays his role exactly as he should... I think there's a big difference between being fit and match sharp, he looks like he hasn't played a competitive 90 mins for nigh on 2 years, which he hasn't.. I'm pretty sure he'd be fine on a bleep test, or long run/sprint training...but the premier league is so fast you have to be on it every second and currently he ain't
  16. I agree, he'd certainly not match fit or anywhere near sharp enough, but he doesn't turn into a shit player over night... he is nowhere near Rhodri and City play with one holding midfielder, so if Rhodri is fit (90% of the time he is) then he plays... don't mean Phillips wouldn't do good job elsewhere, I do agree with Charts though, it's a lot for a player on loan, especially if you can't purchase at end of season, Moyes is looking at getting into Europe again and the money that brings, so you need a bit of depth... not a bad deal imo
  17. Lol... haven't sat and watched both games on a Sunday for a while... most enjoyable today though.... I know exactly where UTD are mate, most pleasing thing for me is seeing some youngsters at it... I think you know I was after a nibble from a hammers fan...cheers! Lol.. Oh, and watching the best centre back in the world ever, cooking up with the best keeper there has ever been...whilst god himself sat in the dug out looking glum... yeah decent day! My mate got a bit today...lol
  18. All round fantastic mate, Klopp says he's off and they implode... Utd dick the hammers, with the youngsters really starting to look good... like I say a brilliant day of football!! Lol
  19. What a brilliant day of football...capped by a van dyke f**k up...lol
  20. Lucky the lads I've met off here have been sound, but amongst 30 odd thousand members there's bound to be a fair few c**ts
  21. Yeah, just the sort of chap I'd want to buy a dog off..
  22. Agree mate...shocking, he deserves what's coming, she was visiting her grandson, so if that's his kid the lads lost his gran and potentially his dad in nick for while... all for a few quid from selling shit pups, and to look hard in rap videos...twat!
  23. Leaves his mother in law in the house with 6 pups and 2 adult dogs, supposedly XL Bullies, she ends up mauled to death... big, powerful, unstable dogs, with irresponsible owners.. ends in tragedy again... shit for everyone who is a responsible dog owner of these bigger bull type breeds...but as Tats said, these breeds certainly attract way too many dick heads
