  1. There's nothing to prove that mate, Wilder is shit I mean really shit.. I know he knocked a load out, but other than Fury it is only Ortiz on his record of any worth (edited to add Parker, but he lost to him convincingly so probably adds weight to the argument), the fights with him were a mess in all honesty.. fair play to Fury getting up and getting results, but Wilder is not a good gauge... he beat Klitschko in a bore fest, but fair play... and that's that... I know his size is brought into the argument, but I just don't think he's close to a prime Foreman, Bowe, Lewis, Ali, Holmes infact I
  2. They're both shit, it's a shit era mate... Anyone who puts any of this era anywhere near the top 10 of all time is nuts imo... But that's it, it's only opinions, you've always held Fury in high regard I just don't see it and never have,I just don't see these boxing skills others do... Him and wilder tripped over each other for 3 fights! Lol
  3. Well the Tim Tzu v Crawford fight looks unlikely, him losing wasn't in the script was it!
  4. Been saying that a while mate, as soon as they are not making the fights what's the point. Those 2 lads on Sunday night showed what the heavies are supposed to be about, alright they may not be the silkiest or best etc, but, f**k it at least it was entertaining for all the right reasons, Fury has been involved in so many talks that have fell through even the most deluded must by now realise he doesn't want to take too many risks and upset the gravy train...let's hope the Usyk fight goes ahead, I still have a feeling there is another excuse coming!! lol
  5. Best!!! its mental to even think it, let alone say it! lol
  6. Let's be honest even the most deluded Fury fans are being a lot quieter now, he hasn't got the time or the opposition to even be considered an all time top ten heavy in my book, mind you I said that a couple of years ago and he's only fought Chisora, Whyte and Ngannu since, hardly adding to an already pretty shit resume is he!
  7. Thought Whitaker looked poor, all the looking the other way etc is for show and adds nothing, he's being heavily pushed and maybe has to keep this cockiness up for the paymasters, but it looks and feels over staged.. no way can he step up a level and carry on like that, Azeez said as much ring side. Kongo done a proper job on him, really good performance, controlled most of the fight, considering he ahs been in a ring for ages looked really good.
  8. Good scrap that, draw was fair, Clark will be gutted with the point deduction though
  9. Unfortunately it's not going to get any better, not sure how long but looking at months not years. His daughter is down with me this weekend, she is having her wedding here in June, we are hoping he makes it..shit times for her and the family.. I think he is under Walton hospital.
  10. Depends on his position at Newcastle mate, I think he will want to stay and see through the project as far as he can, but the board might have other ideas... Perhaps if he is let go it will work for him... Again though, what has he really done?
  11. I was going to say if we stick with an Englishman as manager then who is truly better, more equipped? By the way, I pretty much agree with most of the sentiment around Southgate, have exactly the same yaps with my mates .but unless we go foreign we are taking a gamble.. the very best managers want to be involved everyday, so it's a hard job to fill in many ways..
  12. Really? McLaren, hodgson, Allardyce
  13. That's your hatred of Southgate aside!! lol Get in anyone but him! .. could work mind you! lol
  14. Is he distracting to the changing room though mate, I know he'll get a load off of the fans, but Fergie would've used that IF he was a decent lad bin training, around the dressing room etc.. which we don't know.. So I'm looking at a purely football point of view, he's getting you 15 goals a season, and your struggling for the first half of the season to score...as a manager yeah I think he'd want him
  15. I think that's pretty much where I am mate, the last Euros was the best since 96, no doubt.. I've never been "we're gonna win it" type with |England, but like you say you can genuinely hope now... these lads are so young that, Kane is still only 30 ffs! that the next manager will have the most mature set of youngsters we have ever had, with a new crop not far behind, we're finally doing it the right way, like Spain, Holland, Germany have for years
  16. Yeah maybe so mate, but they have to make a final decision soon, they've papered over and given room to breathe, but will have to sale him this summer if they aren't having him back...and then explain the reason, as I said I reckon Hag would have him in a heart beat, but won't be his decision
  17. I don't think the Chelini or Ramos type player would play as high a line to rely on VAR offside decisons mate, they want to defend in the truest form, tackle, hold, grapple, fight etc.. stepping up on the halfway line aint exactly their style.. so I think we are in the same boat as ever against those types and that's unlocking them, we certainly have the players for it... I think they've both retired now havent they? not sure,.. but there ain't many of those types about...
  18. We probably see it very similarly mate, I agree with your sentiment entirely, I'm just looking at it very factually and with "normal world" hat on... but like you say we could go round in circles whilst probably thinking very much the same way! lol
  19. I never liked the 2 defensive midfielder system either mate, but just off the Belgium game he didn't play that, only Rice held. I don't think Foden had a very good game to be honest, that happens, Mainoo and Bellingham shined and Maddison looked good when he came on. I agree though, Southgate has come as far as he can and the next man has the golden opportunity of a lifetime. I hope (obviously) we win the Euros, and I think we will look back on this period as Englands transition from old to new, we are now producing the type of players we always wanted to, I get that comes from the clubs but t
  20. Not exactly mate, the woman herself has made the decision, and had his kid... if an immigrant rapes a woman she aint having his kid and settling down. I also see how the younger generation behave and there doesn't seem to be the same sort of code of conduct/morals from previous generations, men and woman act differently and its more of a take what you want when you want, look at tinder etc, just meet up anytime for sex, it's just different times... again I'm not saying he isn't a c**t, he could well be, he might not be...she ultimately made the call
  21. Could well be mate, she could be shacked up on an estate with some scum bag knocking her about and smoking weed all day and acting the gangster all night... or she could be sunning herself wanted for nothing whilst putting up with another scum bag of sorts... I guess she chose the option which suited her best... it could be he was a complete c**t once, over stepped the mark in a heated moment within a relationship, she reacted badly and then decided it was a one off, "he's actually OK and I want to have a family with him"... who knows? but the facts are he wasn't found guilty and she dropped t
  22. I didn't think he was actually charged, not checked so not disagreeing, but the end result is the same, whether charges were dropped or none raised he wasn't found guilty, for everyone else that should be it, but for him he's been f****d off to some back water in Spain and can't play for his country... whilst he builds a family with his accuser, surely she is the only one who should have a strong opinion on his actions and it would seem like she's made her decision clear....
  23. The thing he was accused of never went much further than an investigation, I don't think he was ever charged, I'm not defending his morals or the type of man he appeared to be, but he hasn't been charged with anything let alone found guilty... and to add to that he's got a baby with the girl and the live in Spain together as a family.,.. What keeps being repeated from UTD is the womans team wouldn't be happy if he came back, WTF.. when did the womans team have a say on what goes on, it's virtual signalling at its finest at the cost of a career of one of the best talents we have in the country
  24. In the first 10 minutes we got at them mate, scored early and then really started to sit back, I agree with Gnash on this one that the line should have stayed high and kept that up for the first 60 minutes at least, forget who was playing for a minute, you know as well as me that sometimes its clicking and you can really hurt a team in that spell, you sense it.. It felt like the lads didn't sense that and resorted to defending a lead, Chellini should definitely have had a red for dragging back Saka, but thats the margins in a final and it don't matter what we say Italy were smarter, more expe
  25. Regards tournament football and swashbuckling football, that really is my point, I don't see how Southgate sets his teams up as negative, perhaps when he was using Rice and Phillips to sit, yes, but now he throws everyone forward apart from the 2 centre backs and Rice... like you say someone has to do that "donkey" role and Rice is the best for it, think Makele, DeChamps, Dunga etc all let the real flair players play, but Rice is possibly a better player than all of them so it's a win win in my book.., I really like Toney mate, he tries stuff others don't has that real arrogance about him
