  1. Here's my 3/4 whip 1/4 beddy ( litter sister to troter's dog). She's 19", quick off the mark, turns on a six pence, good around the ferrets and lamping rabbits she picks up a fair few rabbits. She's not a good retriever and I think a couple more inches would have helped. She was brought to give my young lad a start, he's 7 and she's ideal. A couple of pics of my brothers 1st x, she's very driven, will hit anything full tilt.. not as quick as the 3/4 and doesn't turn as well she's very headstrong and needs to be kept on top of. Good fun dog to be around.... i'd say she's around 20
  2. I'm the same 2 nests but on the good side, two Bumble holes too (is there a name for 'em?) Bum holes ????????
  3. I think everything is a bit late this year, there was freezing easterly winds only a few weeks back, the suns out now though so hopefully summer is here...
  4. I'd agree mate, you need 2 good wide men that can beat a man, we've got Gerrard and Wilshere to come back, but Walcott and Milner aren't good enough out wide ( Walcott should be a world beater with his pace, but he's scared to take on his man regularly) chamberlain looks a good player, and should be encouraged to run at players and commit, don't stifle his talent... Lets see how Zaha develops, and that winger for Wigan ( mcmanamhon I think) tore Man City to pieces.... I don't like 1 up front but played right with pacy players it can easily be 3 up front...
  5. I don't follow Scotland mate so I don't care about them. There is a difference between wanting to win and knowing you'll win. Just listen to the commentary and remember its getting beamed everywhere. Fair enough mate, I wouldn't say the commentary are a basis for the general fan... England fans are realistic but still passionate, we want to win like anyone...apart from you who doesn't care about your national side anyway lol
  6. I suppose it'd be better to be defeatist about everything and never hope for the best... At least that way you can't be accused of being arrogant, big headed, deluded etc...... Can't see how fans that constantly say there own side is crap can be considered passionate.. Surely that's a contradiction in terms... Wether playing or watching you should expect to win, then when you lose feel gutted... That's passion... Not sing as loud as you can, all the time expecting to lose lol...
  7. You'll find most England fans want the other home nations and Ireland to do well ( as long as its not against England).... You'll find all Scotsman want Engkand to fail no matter what lol England fans expect too much at every tournament admittedly......is that passion or big headedness......
  8. Baw no Englisman who follows football thinks we're going to win the World Cup but every supporter of football wants they're side to do well... The difference being England tend to qualify for the big tournaments since 66 we've gone out at semi final and quarter final stages in the euros and world cups.... We're not a failure on the world stage, the thing is when England fans are passionate about they're side they're called big headed, egotistical blah blah blah, if it's a Scotsman, Irishman or Welshman they're called the most passionate fans in the world or some other crap....
  9. I'd say in recent years Spain play like the brazil sides of old, pass and move and every player wants the ball, even the centre backs can play........ Oh and they're European

PM SeanC mate.. He has vid cameras that he put's on the chest of his lurcher and in the hedges when ferreting... had a good day out on a bit of my permission last year when he got the lurcher catching a bolter on one and you could see the rabbits hitting the nets full tilt.... Ferreting with him is like making a nature documentary... we spend as much time setting cameras as nets ... my lad loved it he controlled them on an Ipad... technology and ferreting, thats a win win for a 7 year old
  12. Not seen Django yet, how's it compare with Inglorious Basterds...loved that film
  13. If only Whin was still here........ Phessies big land lobster hunter Or charts I can handle my beer hunter lol
  14. Sod's law mate, my brothers the spawny one in our family.. He's not really a fisherman as such but will have the odd day out, and always catches the biggest fish... He had a 16lb turbot on a trip to Alderney, which got his photo in Sea Angler lol, a 19lb pollack wrecking out of Dartmouth... Plus others, he reckons it's skill.... Lol
  15. Thanks mate I definitely will..... That is a lovely bass, what did it weigh ?? I dunno mate, the lad ate it without weighing it! It was in the Sun I think, could have been a shore record apparently! Haha, it must be nice to feast on shore record bass lol.... Most of mine go back cause they're undersize lol..
  16. Thanks mate, I planned to fish it again on Sunday, but after walking it Saturday evening I changed my mind, the water level is back up which means cold water has been poured in from the river, this is not usually good for the fishing... I ended up on a club water, couple of ponds, not really my cup of tea tbh but caught a few fish and got me out...
  17. Thanks mate I definitely will..... That is a lovely bass, what did it weigh ??
  18. I've always done a bit of everything Malt, from shore to wrecking and rivers/ canals... Done a bit if fly fishing but not a lot.... Caught a fair few trout though ( they live worms, maggots and spinners I've noticed lol) As I said on the bass post I love live eel fishing for bass at the minute, using coarse rods and reels, great fun mate.. But I do like to a fish a nice bit if river for chub and roach on a stick float, one of my favourite methods... I'm going to get up your way for a fish in the next year or so, done a fair bit in the channel ( Cardiff, ogmore, Barry, monknash etc) but
  19. The players at Chelsea loved him, I think he galvanised them in a similar way to how Fergie would, making them a solid unit... He became there mate but was always the boss ( if that makes sense lol), For me he was never the man for UTD ( wether Moyes is will be seen, but I'm happy enough with the appointment personally) but for Chelsea I think this will be huge if they get 4 or 5 years out of him, with proper financial backing they'll be hard to stop IMO I'm grudgingly pleased to see him back...
  20. There won't be many that haven't been affected by this cruel disease in one way or another, it's killed the man who taught me to fish and hunt from the age of 6, he was there from my birth until he died 3 years ago... He wasn't my dad, but he acted like my dad all of the time he was a top top man.. It took him at 57... Another of my close friends and an old work colleague who was a top fisherman was taken at 46 leaving 2 young teens and his wife behind... The disease is the curse of our times... As Stewie touched on the charity match I wanted to donate all the money to a cancer based chari
  21. Agree on Walcott.. 2 or 3 times in that 2nd half he had his man 1 on 1, with his pace just knock it past him and run... But no he puts his foot on it and passes backwards... He ain't got the bollocks for this level simple as that, he's scored 1 great hat trick and that's about it.... You've got to be brave in your decisions at international level and he's supposed to be our outlet but takes the easy option and 9 times out of 10 gives it away.. Personally I thought Rooney done well, hard task upfront on your own, and he looked fit and sharp to me..
  22. Haha you cursed me mate... Pretty good 2nd half though...
  23. And there it is!!!!!! I take it all back we are the best team in the world lol Rooney RooneyRooney!!!! Haha
  24. And there's the 1st one ..... Come on England!!!
