  1. I remember chicken scratches... Also slapsy, when you hold your hands together and touch finger tips with the other person, you twitch to make them move or slap their hand, if they move three times you get a free slap if you miss it's their go... Knuckles the same as slapsy but rapping the knuckles.. Dops and wedgies Starting school and being told youd have your head put down the toilet ( did it ever happen??)
  2. My younger brother broke his arm playing bulldog... My mum didn't believe it was broke, and said you'll be fine, the next week it's still hurting and up the hospital it turns out he had a green stick fracture lol
  3. WTF is it about that girl ....? She never mean't a damn thing to me. Everyone else seems to have noticed her though. Most found her creepy, it seems? Take a look she looks as mad as the doll beside her lol...
  4. 6. That's it this time Johnny you've gone waaaaaayyyy too far.. Send me your number quick lol....
  7. Well said mate... No bigger tangent than your thread on books that has resulted in the charity match, get together, bake off and whatever else that beast had grown into lol

I never read have the stuff he wrote but once i spoke to him its easy seen he knows his stuff. It was a little tongue in cheek Lab......... But you've made it all serious now lol It was a compliment actually. ......but f**k it thats the last one i dish out.... Haha I was shocked it was you that jumped in to defend his honour lol... You could see he knew his stuff, it just took a lot of reading to crack the code lol

  10. We lost one of the literary greats the day Whin left..... I had no idea what he had written but fck I enjoyed his posts Nice one Paul on sorting that out.... And fck being a mod you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't so to speak
  11. No worries, the last stuff I bought was Drennan I'll check the other makes later as I'm taking Fin bassing for an hour or 2 after work... The missus will mess with the girls on the front beach and we'll sneak round to the estuary side and hopefully get some live eels for bait....
  12. All the stuff I use is transparent mate, I'll take a pic later and send it on I'll send some up if you can't get it up there mate
  13. It's good stuff Baw, you have to make sure your knots are well tied and lubricated when pulled tight, but like you say it's much thinner in heavier breaking strains than mono. The 3.5lb is only 0.16mm which is the same as 2lb mono, plus it's invisible in the water, I reckon it would be perfect for you bubble float fishing, drennan do one now which is around £5 a spool of 50m so it's not that expensive... I use it in 6 or 8lb for live eel fishing ( for bass) and use braid as the main line it works a treat for that too.. Cheers Kev
  14. Cheers Jacka, he's definitely keen enough, he drags himself out of bed at first light to come with me lol
  15. Cheers Mate, we had a few hairy moments around the net, as soon as they see it their off again, as we've talked about before they've got some power... Was only fishing 3lb fluro carbon fir hook length and a size 16 hook, I've not caught many on the stick before so that was a nice change, you normally hook them on the feeder when your fishing for the bream down there...
  16. A forensic pathologist, what a thought out career choice, My youngest girls the same, in that she is not squirmish at all and seems to have a real understanding of life and death... we lost a ferret earlier this year and Fin was in bits but Isla turned round and said " everythings got to die Fin" she was upset but dealt with it with no fuss.. it's funny how they're all a bit different. Well done to fin. It makes your heart swell when they catch stuff like that kev. Well done to you for taking the time and having the patience. I had four to teach, thats why im as bald as a hens egg.lol.Your dau
  17. Caught on maggot Baw, first 2 were caught on the stick float, but once the tide starts backing the flow up it's impossible to fish the float properly so the last one was caught at the top of the tide on the groundbait feeder.. You've got to keep the feed going in down there though, got through a couple of pints of maggots and a pint of caster plus 1.5 kilos of groundbait... You'd like the Exe Baw, it's a very good Salmon river plus there's loads of wild brownies, the upper reaches up to the moor are lovely bits of water..
  18. Cheers lads, Your right Bell they're very nice from the sea I'm off to Guernsey at the start of August for a week seeing family, I'll be doing a bit of fishing out there and I might have a go for the mullet off the rocks, if I catch 1 it'll go in the pan as will any bass I'm lucky enough to catch
  19. Ugly sticks are great boat rods IMO, use the lighter ones depending on the type of fishing also had the 9ft ugly stick spinning rod nice bit of kit.... the ugly stick is tried and tested, I don't know about the other types though.

    Tip

Responsibility is the man making the bet mate. You get these tips and you ponder over giving them out. You'd have been hailed the hero if it won.........Just glad i never stuck the £20 i was thinking about on the f*****g donkey... Your right mate, you give the tip but you didn't force anyone to bet.. A mate tips a lot, he told us all to wait for this particular horse to go ( I can't remember the name) then stick your house on it lol.... I promptly lost 50 quid, but that's life eh... Millie's waters on the other hand came in at 25-1, I drank we'll that night lol
  21. Thanks mate Im not sure fishing alone will keep him out of trouble, he's got that glint in his eye at 7 lol

  23. Nice one Malt well done to your girl, my little girl likes it as well, but it's too difficult fishing down there to take them both.. My girls 5 and she prefers coming ferreting and the boy prefers fishing.. It's all going according to plan lol Apart from my eldest girl who likes hair, nails and shopping lol
  24. Cheers lads, I was made up for him Johnny, he still buzzing now lol... I'm having some plastering work done at home, when I popped in this morning Fin was telling the plasterer ( whos a keen sea angler) how he showed his Dad how to strike properly lol, when he hooked that first one his face was a picture, he said he thought his arm was going to be pulled off lol That's it now though, if he wasn't already, he is officially hooked on fishing now lol
