  1. I agree with RH,you might get a decent worker from as RH says a haphazard breeding but that would be a 1 off in the litter where-as with parents from generations of well bred workers of the same line you increase your chances big time and the success rate in litters is a far higher %.a friend of mine bred a border /lakeland with a Glen of imaal x plummer /pitbull. parents must have 6 or 7 hundred digs between them. ..years of graft. .bitch was obtained in a swop with a teagle for 3 lurcher saplings and a wanker of an irish terrier -good hunter but a cut for starting fights
  2. totally disagree, letting a pup go to someone in no way affects what you and your mates do, what would make the terrier job in a better state would be sharing the good blood and then the overall quality of terriers being bred would go up, and this would in no way affect you or your breeding plans, also how do you know when someone enquires for a pup there (in your opinion) an idiot. they may just be thinking that about you? and all i can say about you giving pups to lads you dont know is you must have changed in the last 15 yrs or so?[/ quote] would the quality go up though? Look at greyh
  3. she'd be worth taking to a greyhound dog
  4. be Ireland longest major open race (1010 yards)-flying winner set the record there a few years back. .her daughter "tradition " broke it last year -and another daughter of f.w won it the year before
  5. desertbred filled me in there -dubai isn't the elite of saluki racing. .bitch was in the final of the ted hegarty marathon at Harold cross when she was here
  6. Thought rathdrum is in wicklow- someone told a friend of mine about an English bull that had an operation done on his windpipe so he couldn't open up - don't know whether it's true or not
  7. Because the 128 dogs ggoing to clonmel have been decided by now. ..I would imagine anything still breathing at this stage would be fairly fast - just maybe a length or 2 short of trial stake winning pace..128 dogs out of 450 odd litters. ..any track dog given away probably wasn't following it...just a thought as I don't know how much hound is in the dog
  8. how'd he get on out there...A friend sold a staying greyhound bitch to dubai for about 6,times what she'd be worth here..has beaten saluki over 2 km. ..has pups to a saluki over there...
  9. coursing greyhounds are really cheap/free this time of year
  10. sounds fair enough -seen pictures of the bags you posted -but there's people out there with no concience about selling dirt bred off dirt
  11. Think he's out of a Bedlington x whippet and by a deerhound /wheaten hound x collie hound - or something like that
  12. eireman96 off here has a dog that might be good over her.
  13. I've something similar and she came away smaller than the cocker mother. .
  14. He was 1/8 bull and bred by Derek and owned by a good friend of mine.Id think he'd of been born at least 18yrs ago.thanks for clearing that up
  15. There's an excellent history of them on the I. .w.t.f website
  16. Was the Charlie dog not 1/4 plus staff (not sure who bred him)-I don't think he'd be ages ago
  17. cracking build of a bitch.how did she go for you.
  18. I dont understand what you mean by take her out of season. Do you mean he gave her a suppressant to stop her coming in? fairly boosts performance as well -not going to be allowed from this year on (laurabolin)..personally I think the rabies jab has a negative effect on performance -maybe the dogs had turned into wankers anywayYes hormone injection to stop her coming in season. Similar to the jab women can have, or the pill or implant.
  19. hunted with one a few years back - outstanding bitch in cover. .lost to ground unfortunately. .might have been a springer X border (looked like a border)
  20. Still there's no sense in putting up stupid pictures (or even taking them for that matter )
  21. I've always wondered why their popular Neil - put a pit over a terrier a few years back - have got some outstanding dogs down off it but the size is hard to get down and the ones that come very small still think they are big.im happy with the dogs I have but if I'd my time over again I probably wouldn't have done it.
