    Pouring with rain so that put paid to the shooting today.But decided to have a ride around and found 150 geese on stubble on a mates permission i can shoot on.Really hoping they stay around and every one was a Greylag.Even if these move on there are other places i might find a few for the first.But will be having a better year than last year going by what is about now.

    Well the hide was alright as you cannot see me in it. Ferrets having a good tuck in to woodpigeon tonight.

    Was promised a load of barley today from one of the farmers i shoot for.So will be taking the trailer and filling it up.Got plenty of sacks to put it in then it will be taken to Stuarts to store as he wants it to feed his duck ponds up the A19.All the farmer wants is a day or two on the geese if he is not busy so we should be able to sort that for him.

    Was watching the geese yesterday.A few skeins about and some landing on the fields.Two or three mates have been put on short notice to come if needed.Some persons loss is a better mans gain.

    Well after seeing the geese yesterday should have some good sessions there.No grass to shoot there,hope farmer leaves some stubble.

    Yes that was on rape stubble.Farmer was discing rape stubble yesterday but left us alone and did other fields.

    Another place to shoot a few geese.I will thin a few out like the farmer wants.Will have to be keeping an eye on them to see if they are still around come the 1st September.

    Slowly creeping up to the goose shooting season.Just over 7 weeks to the start and looking more promising in this area this year than last year.Hopefully we should be able to get some this year just to top the freezers up as there seems to be a few about.
