Out Today A Great Start To A Good Week

Good afternoon out for you was well worth going and having a look. -
45 big rabbits went to the game dealer and 5 smaller ones for ferret food.

Had a few hours out with Stuart lamping rabbits into the early hours last night.We had a good ride round the stubbles and had a good night out.Some patches of the fields had been left a bit too long when cut and some rabbits headed for it to hide.The ones that did and were shot soon got found with Stuart's dog.We had a good session and ended up with 50 rabbits.

Went out around 1900 to have a go at the rabbits before dark.Shot 5 and was on way back home after gutting and skinning them for 2030.Different field tonight and could see a few for another night.

All went to the game dealer probably in his freezer now.lol

Had another few hours after dark riding round the stubbles finding a few rabbits.Managed another 8 last night and slowly getting the freezers filled back up with food for the ferrets.Still a good few about and all clean with no signs of mixy.

Met up with Stuart today to do a bit of pigeon shooting but first we had to check on the geese in a couple of places.We found them where we thought they would be and so it is looking promising for the coming months. We had a slow start to the pigeon shooting but it picked up after an hour and we ended up with 78 woodpigeon,12 ferals and 5 corvids. Stuarts dog did a good job of picking up today and is coming along nicely with its training.

Don`t know how you will be able to afford the cartridges to go out you part timer. easy the people what come goose shooting can slip me a few boxes of cartridges as payment

I have a nv spotter the type with a screen which is good. I also have a Archer nv spotter i put on the scope when shooting. But when driving i find it easier to lamp and spot them,then turn off the lamp and then shoot them with the night vision. Nice offer though Dave.

I was using CZ455 17hmr for longer range last night as rabbits a bit nervous.

I went out for a few hours last night shooting rabbits on stubble fields.I was using the lamp to spot them and then the night vision to shoot them.My arm ached a bit after holding the lamp but ended up with 15 rabbits so was worth going out.

Plenty to go at this year and no grass anywhere.

You want to get a gas heater for winter.

All clean except the two on the right as i had to shoot them head on while grazing.Insides were dirty as bullet went through shit bag.

A late night but a good result. -
Went to shoot some rabbits last night as the freezer needs stocking up.There was a few about but it was one of those nights with a lot of moisture in the air.The scope kept fogging up and although it did not rain the rifle was wet through with moisture.Managed to shoot 11 rabbits so some food for the ferrets for a couple of weeks.

Nice place for a bit of ferreting.If i had any holes like that i would be out tomorrow but mine is still overgrown .
