    Went out after tea for another go at the rabbits for the farmer.Took the night vision to see what was about and i managed another 3 rabbits before packing in at 10pm.Good job i took Jess or i would have had a job finding two of them.Can certainly tell now that i have thinned the rabbits out on this area of the farm.

    Went back to the farm again today to try for a few more rabbits and i saw one just as i parked up.I got out the van and just got the rifle up to take a shot and it jumped into the nettles not to be seen again.Had to move and wait nearly two hours before i saw another rabbit which i shot,I waited in the same place and got another and then moved again.I got near another warren i had seen rabbits chasing in and out of yesterday but today they were not coming out.Had to pack in with only two rabbits today so that is the ferrets fed till weekend.

    I started with the 22 rimfire on Monday with my archer night vision when it got dark.But where i was parked in the field i could see rabbits spread over the field and so on Tue,Wed and Thursday i used the 17hmr just for a bit more range.All i was doing was thinning them out.If i could not get a more or less certain headshot i was going for a upper chest shot as i was taking them home.I prefer not to gut shoot them as too much of a mess when gutting them. Well done stoggy. What scope is the Archer used with? Just got a 17 Hornet and looking for a scope for it. At the moment my Anschutz

    Went out this afternoon to have another look at the new permission and see if i could get a few more rabbits.Just got set up and farmer started spreading pig slurry at the far end of the field.Anyway i managed to get five rabbits even though four of them were small ones.Ferrets are now fed and full up.

    Went to see a farmer on Monday that wanted some ferreting done.He showed me round but i told him it was a bit too late for ferreting and a lot of the holes are under blackthorn bushes.We agreed it would be best to shoot them and i would start the same night and start thinning them out.So on Monday evening i got 5 rabbits,Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 6 and packed in each night at 2230.Last night i stayed all night and managed 12 rabbits and got a photo after packing up at 0630 this morning.Still rabbits about but the farmer will be able to tell the difference in numbers now i have been shooting the
