if your shooting for sport then im of the opinion that 12 ft lb is plenty and i do not need more power i just use what i have to get in closer.. i try get in to 25 yds
. air rifle and shot guns are not the same thing so i dont see how a man/woman with a sgc could have a larger powered air rilfe and if you needed more power you could just go fac and treat your self to a rimmy but i dont get excited at the thought of that (if i was a pesti then fac it would be).i also have public foot paths on some off my permision so i dont believe just haveing permision would justify more power as it could be
too much like hard work and if it was a steel tank you could ruin it like this as there will be moisture put in to the dive tank and it will then begin to corrode from the inside
i dont think you should pay them as all will have to do this eventually. true enough they have done the leg work to get the land but its nothing nobody else can not do. i have air rifle and longnets but still i can get access to land for fox, pigeon etc. i dont see why others cant
i see posts all the time with people begging permision or for a days shoot, personaly i think yer lazy gets and should be door knocking instead of sat on here. it will come if you put in the effort
if the 100 is shooting straight and you dont need the money out of it then you should just leave it under lock and key for a we bit incase you change your mind. you might struggle to replace it with another good one if it turns out you regret selling it
i live on a council estate and know some of the tradesmen, i believe they can do the job and do it well but they tell me its standard practice to do the jobs as quick and cheep as they can as thats what there told to do. the thing also is job security, when your working for yourself you might have no work but work for the local houseing and you will have plenty.
i have bought a torch from ebay to mount on my rifle. its the same as the one in this link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UltraFire-1600LM-Zoomable-Cree-XML-T6-LED-Flashlight-Torch-2x-Batteries-Charger-/261124384453?pt=UK_SportsLeisure_Camping_LightsLanternsTorches&hash=item3ccc39e6c5
its nice and bright BUT you have to go through a cycle of 5 different things every time. it starts at bright, then a little dimmer, then dimmer again to flashing s.o.s. to finish on a strobe. i have been told that on some you can turn the torch on/off then hold the button in for a set amount of time to set t
the bully got what he deserved, not only was he bullying but he was making a c**t out of them in front of an audiance, its true it was a sucker punch but without a sneaky hit he would have got worse. shame the 2 kicks to the nits missed,
mine is a big loop once its spliced. it goes along the top, through the end pin, along the bottom, through the next end pin and then its spliced.. i trad net but i suppose he could be making a quickset
the book is very good and there is everything and more in there to get anybody started in long netting, but you need to practice in the day as thats the only way to come good. i was fortunate as tiercel has already said, there was some body willing to show me the ropes and he is now my netting partner. as a team we are slick and single handed hes better than i am but i can hold my own..
i would have to agree with every thing in the last post right down to the book.. theres a time and a place for quick set, the place is where i am not and probably day time
you will tangle your long nets from time to tim but if this happens dont get mad just put them away carefully and sort them out in they day light. you will get frustrated but when it goes well for the first time (with a catch) you will grin all the way home..
no point getting upset after all its his land. instead practice, practice and practice some more then do it anyway or show him how a net is run out and explain there will be no disturbing of his customers. once your competant he might let you do it over christmas when there wont be as many vans to upset.
beleive it or not i have a caravan park that lets me shoot around the vans (airgun) if im there early enough and ferret at my leisure.
never happen like that. us netters would be in first catching the hare and the rabbit's or maybe even other things. most i imagine can be caught with a net. then on the way back we get robbed by a man with a gun.. were all doomed..
allready there isnt enough rabbits to keep us all in sport the whole winter never mind if all the uk wanted them for the plate
pracitice there today and work out how you going to get in position to do it tonight. also you might want to look at the waether forcast to see if the winds blowing and in the correct direction
i would think its worth a few quid.. look how many donators they are and the owner will have every one up his arse offering days out and cheep goods etc..
