what size is the smaller mesh? the reason im asking is because i was talking wi mr wilks about these today and not 100% sure if the rabbits head fits through the mesh of if it just balls up..

I agree with that but I just use mine for daytime ferreting. there's no way i'd paint a stainless basket, defeats the object of paying for quality steel. i would have stainless for the extra strength and the fact it wont be rusting if its quality stainless.. built to last, but i would not buy just for the shine....

well if your a 1 man band your never going to do it for that money if its stainless. personaly i think mild steel or stainless they need painting with a matt paint so there is no shine on it. i know you would be unlucky for a we bit of moon to shine on your basket but i would paint it all the same.. and the white laundry bag on rm's basket wants a die putting on it if it was mine

best thing you can do is join a local airgun club if there is one near you, talk to the lads and lasses and maybe they will let you try the guns they own. before you start hunting you need some practice.. on here every ones an expert or a piss taker and the mods are no better. they force crap jokes upon us..

they are plastic coated. it would be easy to buy the material for that.. i think i bought 15 meters of 5 mm solid bar for 12 quid but i did buy from work when they put an ofder in mine went with it... dont know what they are made from but at 6mm bar the price would not go up loads wasnt yours stainless?

you could just throw an extra loop over the pegs as you go to take the slack up.. i like my top line so it would ping although it does not always end up that way but thats the thing with long nets there is not a right way there your way and mine and we do what works for us. like said above about martin kings book he says how he does it as thats all you can do..imo

in some country's you can be stoned to death and i think a stone is small enough to hurt but not kill out right. a boulder will f**k you in 1 hit..

i tried privit and was not too impressed when it was wet, i thought the wet bark grippet my running line. i suppose i could have stripped it back but im lazy.. i will measure my pegs as i did start originaly with my pegs from mi arm pit to my palm and was going to shorten them, maybe i did, maybe i dint.. im 40 with the memory of a 70 year old

the book does cover all the bases, it has everything in there you need to get started and after reading the book cover to cover a few times you then need to practice in the day before you jog off in the dark.. for me the book is as good as it gets, you will be doing well to find some thing better than that for a person new to long netting wanting instuction and tips..
