Cj no need for a photo and their is no dowt in my mind about you catching like this. I'm sure you have many times. Just the other way is my prefrence.

My pegs are all going through the mesh at top and bottom and the running line is wrapped around the peg at the bottom but I don't have big tension in between pegs. First and last peg are fixed better so I have tension on end pins to pegs and I can keep top line tight. I would not fancy no peg to tie the bottom line but I will try it so I can have a valid opinion. But if it works for the man there's nowt wrong with it

We all do things differently and do what agrees with us. But pegging it down is not for me. You could have both wheel ruts running through the same 5 yards of net and buy pegging the net can't run along the line and if I did that in 2 places I would be making the net even less afective in my eyes. It would not run as fast on a slack line as I tight one but I prefer the line slack enough to follow the land

i think the best way is to pick on the mods giving them large dollops of abuse.. pick a week one who cant take a joke and dont like banter.. you will get your wish.. maybe i should of read all the thread before i wrote this
-
thats down to me, i told him i have mine slack to follow the contors of the ground. if i dont do this the bottom line goes over the ruts that the farmers landrover leaves and the bunnies run up these ruts.. i should add some of the ground is a bit rocky and uneven but if you have good flat land like a football pitch it might be a differnet story horses for course
-
its all in the knot you tie the top line with when pegging.
-
you should not be suprised. phone calls have apparently been recorded for a long time and isp are required to keep a record of all your activity in the last 12 months.. it will only ever get worse... and if your not up to no good it wont matter
-
i would not bother putting end pins on it now, it will fit the pockets much easier and the pins can fit on a bigger net when they eventualy turn up.. other than well done theres nothing else to say as its been said by others..
-
it dosent matter theres no takers we will probably manage one way or another.. still ill net with both moxy and bpr but ill try get some land a bit thurther north to net with bpr as its a long way down here to find the wind has dropped or ficking dog men are shinning in the field... must add i dont mind the dog men as i dont own the land but be much nicer if i get on first as i have the permision...

i dont think im much help but as nobody else has stepped forward so ill do my best.. i think both these nets are 5.5 inch mesh and the top one is square mesh but i do not have them here to check.. top line is only resting on theses pegs, the pegs have a small groove in the top for the line to sit in and it pings off when when the hare hits the net. you dont need the head to go through the net but it might be benifical if it was to.. im unsure on that as i normally just do rabbits and i prefer the head to go through for them but with hare theres a man on the net to gather the prize so

i have read somewhere that if theres too much bagging it would appear like a wall to the rabbits and thats why some dont use over 100% bagging also black nets appear like a wall and are visable to the rabbit.... i would not be worried about this myself as rabbits run in to the burgandy net in the daytime, although ideally with a dog chassing its arse.. as for clearing the net of rubbish its not a problem at all when pare netting as one man hanks and the other cleans as hes pulling the peg's.. working on your own might be a bit of work
-
thanks for that..lol i was told airgun section was full of smart arses..

how far away from the chrony does the end of my rifle have to be when testing? its not been checked for 12 months and the 100 is prone to creeping up in power... so it needs to be done, prefrably today thanks smithie
-
send him to citizens advice.. and hold the rent back anyway.. remain 3 weeks in arears

i went to a ferret resuce for my last ferret. it was free and 100 mile each way.. £40 worth of diesel in the old bus but i would rather do that again and take an unknown ferret rather than give somebody 30 notes

If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team

Mr Wilkes thinks the 3rd man we might need for next year might not be able to join us, this is a might not and not definate but if there is anybody wanting to work the net for us on some of the bigger drops p.m mr wilks. might even show how how to run anet etc if your intrested.. cant promise big bags but happy to share 3 ways.. i should add this is largly north/west yorkshire maybe hull or norfolk and you need wheels to get there if its local of to get to 1 of us and then travel with us
-
thats funny as hell... f**k knows what you was looking for to find it
-
if the rabbits are bigger in the dales i think there would possibly be no need to increase mesh sizes as doing this would might cause us to be in the same predicament as you. with rabbits getting though the net.. this year as we have new permision we will be leaving a man on the net to kill it off as the field is walked in (very large fields) . i have a night vision and small cammera and i will set this up on the best blind drop ever. then we will see how we are for bouncers and rabbits getting through.. i might even weigh some of the bunnys for you to compare..
