  1. My lad was in touch with a fella off here until a couple of years ago. The fella had two half crosses, dog and bitch from same litter. Both very good workers. With yours being 3/4 whippet they should be a little more versatile. Sounds good ?
  2. I just remembered this d c, don't know if you've heard of it, but I think you're a bit closer to the area than me, in the brecon/powys area near hereford, there were reports of sheep and a couple of horses killed by possibly a mountain lion/puma, roughly 2012/13
  3. Not everyone takes a camera out with them when going out working their dogs, or out in the countryside or whatever. I never used to take a camera, nobody had mobiles with built in camera until very recently anyway. And most people wouldn't think 'oh I need to take a camera with me, just in case I see a puma, leopard or whatever', when going for a walk in the countryside.
  4. Beavers in the west country?! Fake news, I've never seen one. Thought I might've seen in cornwal once, but I forgot to take my camera with me! Lol
  5. Siberian weasel? ?. Just joking ?. Just to add mate, I believe you. It's not that long ago really, historically, that there were big cats living in britain naturally. Let's not forget the english channel is less than 15000 years old, and there've been plenty of fossils of big cats, amongst other species of animals, found in this country for years. Many areas of britain are ideal for big cats to live in. And like's been said, plenty of people used to keep exotic animals of all sorts, and released them into the wild when the laws about keeping them came in.
  6. The first two holyfield v bowe fights stick in my mind in the heavyweights
  7. Good job collie john's name isn't david, he'd be lynched by now ?
  8. This the way I see it. Collie john will obviously be hoping those pups will be just what HE is after, for the type of work and ground conditions that HE works his dogs on. Will they catch the majority of lamped rabbits on open ground? I very much doubt it. I can't see them fairly catching many rabbits in any conditions day or night really. Ferreting on his hunting grounds, mooching etc, they'll suit him I'd expect, or he wouldn't have bred them. Would I own one? Up until the last maybe two years, for 90% of the ground I've worked my dogs on in the past, no way, they would NOT be fas
  9. Yeah, like pilot dog, apparently needed by some who can't school their own dogs ?. Lol ?
  10. It defiantly gets on my nerves lol. Predictive text should be banned from mobile phones. Sometimes it takes me three goes at reading some posts. Above, 1st paragraph, I know it should read 'definitely', just making a point lol ?
  11. You're getting as bad as me ?. Some people cant stand it lol
  12. How much greyhound is in the sire c j?
  13. Welcome mate. Plenty of whippet owners on here ?
  14. How do you find the loading system to use mate? I asked on here about a 57, and was told that the pellets can sometimes fall out of the loading breach unless the rifle is held practically horizontal when loading? But recently seen a you tube review of a 57 (airgunhunterstv) and it looked like he didn't have a problem
  15. From what I can gather, they shoot at about 7 - 8 fpe, calibre dependant, and weigh about 6lb or a little more with scope. Been looking at these for about 18 months, and 99's, and 57's lol ? 5 1/2lb without scope ?
  16. Don't put yourself down blacky, O T might well talk more gibberish on here than all of us, but I think you understand more of it. Chin up fella ? ?
  17. One is already celebrating, albeit with GUINNESS , my celtic brothers ?
  18. Not much jazz at brecon jazz festival really. The orb, one of my favourites, blue room, towers of dub ? ?
  19. I know nothing about politics. But will all this brexit leave mullarky, stop me going to brecon jazz festival this year? ?
