    Lol yeah, those vids and what you just said, reminded me of when I was a nipper. Sometimes, just for the hell of it, there'd be between 5 and 10 of us, me my brother and our mates, and we'd just round up what dogs we could, all mongrels of varying sizes, and just head on across a few of the local farms, with the dogs working away like trojans putting up all sorts lol. Great days lol

    Got to say sandy, that last vid with them 'working' the rough ground was effing brilliant! ?. Made my day so far. And that guy always laughing, what a character lol. I'd love a couple of days hunting with that lot. A bit of everything involved, had to look twice at the guy with the long handled brush cutter, thought it was socks clambering over a fence to deliver the last rites on a rabbit! Lol ?

    There's starting em off, and starting em off. Starting a youngster on ferreting is completely different to starting a youngster on lamping. Ferreting, as long as you keep in mind your pup is still a youngster, is faaar less strenuous than lamping. And there's also the ground conditions with your pups feet, joints ligaments etc. Night time forays will normally be a few degrees colder than daytime, and that can sometimes be the difference between a pup knocking a toe up or not. Just a couple of things to possibly consider

    Not sure if he had any brothers. But there's a guy in ponty got a patterdale and a russell, he looks very similar to him?

    Madness. Dc, can you remember the guy from south wales that got suffocated whilst trying to dig to his terrier in a bank of sandy soil? About 25ish years ago? I think it was only on a rabbit, but the ground caved in and he suffocated. Tall skinny guy, bit of a loner. Maybe a couple of the guys up the valleys would remember? I think he lived porth way, maybe up a bit further?

    Was about to say sounds like a kidney infection. I had it years ago, exactly like you described, and, according to my mrs, I was hallucinating and talking all sorts of complete gibberish during my sleep. 'Not much has changed about talking gibberish' she said to me when I just showed her this post! Cheeky twat she is, silly bint better remember who pays the bill here ?

    Not too bad a player. My brother and his mate used to run the welsh pool league. But I could never take it too serious, and was only in one team in division 4 for one season, must be close to 25 years ago now
