    I just looked up the stats king. Smoking kills more people than alcohol, aids, murders, car accidents and drugs COMBINED. How accurate that study is I don't know, but we did a bit of a study on smoking, drinking, drugs and health etc, when I did a college course in 2009-2011. And our results were more towards those findings

    Technically, a pedigree is just a written down list of a dog's supposed ancestry, parents grandparents etc. So it could have a pedigree. Bit like all these coursing bred dogs in britain. There's allsorts in em, parents etc, just written down as and where people feel like putting it lol

    This the way I see it. People keep trying to reinvent the wheel, but keep coming back to the tried , tested and capable. And like I keep saying, there'd be more capable dogs if they were allowed to mature before being 'tested'. God, I f***ing HATE that term. Lurcher to lurcher, colie/deer/grey etc, were catching allsorts long before bull/greys, wheaten/greys etc were popular

    Seventh sentence down says it all with most dogs really bill. The large bitch, better all round, 'entered later'. Be alot less dogs passed from pillar to post, or 'passed on' as 'unsuitable', if dogs were left to mature a few more months before they were started

    Agree with a few of you above. And at one point, up til about a year ago, I thought 'yes, he's showing some interest now', about my youngest lad. Alas, it's not to be. The interest in shooting has disappeared, the fishing is fast becoming a distant memory, and we have to practically force him to take the dogs out, one of his chores when he gets in from school. Thought he was taking after me for a while. Nope, the poncey little nerk is like his mother ? ??

    Watched it last night. And if it does happen, the sparring in fury's camp, I think it's quite a shrewd move for joshua and his connections. More rounds of using his new skills etc, against the opponent that he'll hopefully be fighting sooner rather than later

    Like you say mate, I think by 1995 the whole game really, was literally over. Was getting a bit silly for a good few years before the ban. And I've said this a few times on here, but, like you say, mobile phones, technology and the internet IS the final nail in the coffin for lurcher and terrier work. Most people now with lurchers and/or terriers, can't even take their dogs just for a walk without every do gooder, tree hugging looney accusing them of allsorts, and threatening to call the law etc. f***ing world's gone mad. Glad I had the good years in it.

    Lol yeah, several pubs in south wales that don't do food, and some you certainly wouldn't want to eat food in ?. But still going strong since I started drinking in them over 40 years ago

    I don't know micky whatsoever, but I can assure you, there certainly were some keepers in certain parts of the country that would indeed, with a little help from locals etc, give you a damned good hiding if they caught you. And not that long ago either
