All you need desert dog for is stamina, so I've heard. Anyway, I'd MUCH rather that 1st cross wheaten/greyhound be put over another greyhound if it was my decision, personally ??

Obviously don't know you, but from what I could gather from your opening post, sounds to me that it's just a bit of height and pace that your dog is lacking, which that extra greyhound blood will give you. I'm far from an expert where salukis or heavily saluki blooded dogs are concerned, but they certainly seem as though they require certain definite traits from an owner

You'd probably be doing the right thing by keeping a pup or two from both litters. Greyhound would be my choice, as has already been said, saluki blood doesn't suit me, or alot of others. Greyhounds feet aint as bad as many would have you believe, and there's no guarantee the pups will definitely inherit the saluki stamina

That bitch might've done a fair bit mind. It's constantly knocking up it's toes/feet, and has reopened a big scar down it's chest. Think he forgot the 'one careful owner' line in his pitch!

Agree with you there salty. Stupid, ignorant and clueless. I know people that've seen pictures of pups, and gone and bought one, just on the basis that the pups were 'gorgeous, cute and adorable'. Their words, not mine. No research into the breed's size, mental charecteristics or f**k all, just bought the pup on a whim. Happens far too frequently, and why the pounds, shelters etc, are at bursting point

Mon dieu! ?. I was just saying, if you feel a tad bothered that someone has had the temerity to sell a pup, perhaps a day off work, preceded with a camomile and jasmine, is probably a good idea ??
