Again, same here mate. All the purebred whippets I've owned, were never shy of any cover, and would carry on, and catch, almost every rabbit that hit dense brambles to escape. Many people disregard the whippet as being 'not tough enough' or whatever. Completely wrong view ?

Sound a bit like me lol. My mrs won't let me 'fix' anything. I've broken literally hundreds of things, and continue to do so regularly. I'm very heavy handed, and pretty clumsy apparently, but I can walk through a wood like a ninja lol. Never had a problem with any air rifles mechanically breaking down on me though.

What do you mean mate, by 'chewed itself to pieces? Two fellas I know have the 98 and are very impressed with them, putting, I'd imagine, a few thousand pellets through them with no problems. And I've also read several reviews extolling their virtues. Not disbelieving you, just not heard or read of many problems with the 98

Lepers ?, used to say I've got leprosy, to keep do gooding, cheerful c**ts away from me years ago. I aint the most sociable of people at the best of times, but f****n HATE bubbly, joyful types asking me if I'm ok, or 'how you feeling' etc lol. Not quite as bad nowadays, but still not a 'bundle of joy' to be around ?

Lol from mid october to mid-late february, waking up to quarter of an inch of ice on the inside of the bedroom windows, was an everyday occurrence in the 70's lol. We didn't have 10 blankets between 5 of us though! ?
