    yes ,a bit like hugh fearnly whitingstalls river cottage ,like a numpty i followed it for a long while untill i realised hes a multi millionare with wife & kids liveing in a huge house ha ha ,i believe his parents are mega rich

    fair play to you , i hope all works out fine for you all , a few weekends a year i get the basha out a bit of kit take my rods & spend quality time on the coast ok not the same but cant beat a bit of freedom from the rat race

    Same as mate,vast majority of our permission is in Cheshire and numbers are well down saw no sign of myxi through summer whilst walking the land so its not that,as you say its disheartening putting 50+ nets on to bolt one or two ,wont be throwing the towel in though Haven't even bothered putting nets down last few times been out just let the ferrets work down hedge rows flushing what's in for dog doing full hedges to flush 1 rabbit not much fun a lot of the undergrowth hasent even died back this year av got bloody roses out in me front garden think a might give it one more season to see what

    night vision ferreting lamping hawking trapping etc all year round plus mixi , one day rabbits will as rare as hens teeth ,we are all to blame

    just sold my full hatsan at-44 kit for £250 gun bipod scope everthing as new boxed , was in the safe sitting next to my rapid lol , it wasnt going to get much use

    i got an old mountfield not the B&Q one, its best thing ive ever had but as said although i never owned one seems the honda are top notch too

    after reading all db posts on different threads i like to think hes a genuine fella he speaks his mind sensibly ,usually calmly & with educated replies ,the amount of things directed towards him would have most of us snapping or leaveing the forum , fair play to you db , im not being patronising just respect where its due

    had loads of foxes in rabbit warrens ,even bolted them with the ferrets , plus how many of us have bolted rabbits with the ferrets only to see stoats bolt from same warrens .many times in my time in fact almost every year , plus rats with rabbits , if theres refuge underground almost all vermin will use it , unluckiest fox i ever caught was when my dogs chased a squirrel in a wood .beggar went down the rabbit hole dogs entered & charlie was in the tube ,lol bad day for him
