    most animals dont scare me, only real exception to this is jellyfish and great apes (new fear after hearing the audio of a chimpanzee attack where a woman was ripped limb from limb and had her face ripped off), spent a lot of time with large exotics as well as small ones, i have a healthy respect for many of them but wouldnt be running away screaming at the sight of them, travelled to a lot of countrys, handled a lot of beasties including freshwater crocs in the gambia (not to be mistaken for saltwater + nile crocs), lesser apes, all kinds of reptiles + also did work experience @ 14 in blackpo

    touch wood i havent had any run ins with the council dog pound, only 2 collie dogs are allowed to free range and they are trained to stay in the boundarys of the garden and small field.

    some nasty fuckers out there some do it just for badness, out of jealousy, just to hurt someone, some even do it to get a guard dog out of the way so they can rob the place so be careful. i feel for you bud, sorry for your loss, waste of a good dog, hope you find out who did it!

    on the rare occasion that i show my 2 terriers i have found myself showing the 2 at same time, in this case my hubby shows the other dog, gamefairs are just a bit of fun, at the end of the day im bringing home the best dogs at the show.

    im so glad i stumbled into this thread, dont usually go into his part of THL, im am so jealous of you, your dogs and the type of quarry and country you get to hunt, jealous enough to be thinking of taking a hunting holiday over there brilliant thread, the best by far on THL. going by the response your getting here you could find yourself with a few visitors gatecrashing your pighunting! lol, happy hunting, gem.

    had a bad streak of luck for a long time, things are finally going my way!

    a lot calmer, i can pick him up now again, he is still a little nippy, goes back to his owners thursday.

    its a shock to the system when stuff like that happens, had a few hairy moments myself, horses are high risk around dogs as well, seen a livery owners jack russel stepped on + crushed to death by a 16.2 stallion. i never let my dogs near horses since, also have memorys of another jack russel who belonged to a neighbour which had a penchant for chasing trains..... one day it caught the train.... no prizes for guessing the outcome of that, ive been lucky, havent lost any dogs myself to accidents, had a few cats ran over + my favourite cat was killed by my lurcher. dont keep cats anymore lol

    im same way but its just me and the dog, happy to have a bit of sport and fill the pot for me + the dogs best bit is seeing the dog doing what it was born to do + loving it

    1st cross collie-whippet, was dumped locally, rescued by local couple arsepca wouldnt take her so i did, caught her first rabbit the other day

    dont know anyone here thats anti forces just anti "anti's" (bunnyhuggers/activists) thats why folks round here are cautious about hunting with strangers.
